Our rates are inclusive of

• Fully comprehensive insurance: NO excess, NO self risk, NO security deposit (CDW and FDW). The customer is fully relieved from the responsibility of any damage; any damage is covered by the insurance even if the driver is responsible for the accident.
• Third party insurance covering damages caused to other drivers, cars and people.
• Personal liability insurance for the driver and the passengers.
• Theft protection insurance.
• Broken glass and mirrors insurance.
• All local taxes (24% VAT).
• Unlimited kilometers.
• Best washed cars guarantee.
• 24 hours road assistance.
• Free road map.

Our insurance does not apply in the following cases

• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Going over a STOP sign or red light.
• Going over or overtaking on double solid road lines.
• Driving off the road (asphalt only road permitted)*.
• Loss of car key: 150 € penalty.
• Fines written out by law enforcement agencies.

*Some guests still take the risk to drive all the way to Balos, although we always inform them that the insurance is invalid when driving off-road. In such cases the renter has the FULL responsibility for damages that may occur.

In the event of damage to the car, the client is not exempt from liability if they do not call the company's emergency number.

Minimum rental

• 3 days.
• Chania and Ierapetra regions: 5 days, upon request.

Minimum rental age

• 21 years old, with a driving license held for at least 1.5 years (groups A, B, C and D).

Cancellation policy

• Cancellations made 5 days or more before the arrival date: no fees.
• Cancellations made less than 120 hours before the arrival date: 20% of the booking value.
• No show: 100% of the booking value.

Car distribution and cross-border rental

• It is not allowed to transport the vehicle to or from any island or the mainland. All insurances are cancelled and the renter is liable for all damages if the car is outside the island of Crete, and a fine of 1000 € is imposed.

Clients should also

• Not smoke in the car.
• Lock the vehicle when not in use.
• Always park the vehicle in a safe spot.
• Respect road signs and traffic limits.
• Respect vehicle limits and use it appropriately.

Asphalt roads only

• All rental vehicles may move strictly and only on asphalted / paved roads.
• Vehicles include a sensor system and a locator device that notify the rental company when the vehicle moves on unpaved streets, dirt roads or prohibited areas.
• Driving off-road (road to Balos or similar) leaves the vehicle without any insurance coverage; the renter bears exclusive responsibility for damages, cleaning of mud and dust, and towing expenses.
• Disregarding this term carries a penalty of 1000 €.
