− Demasiado ruido en los pasillos, falta de atención por parte del socorrista dejando jugar al balón en la piscina, una mujer duchándose con champú en la ducha de la piscina y después a sus dos hijos menores. El restaurante de la terraza del hotel con un solo camarero para todas las mesas, claramente el pobre no poTag llegar bien a todas. Falta de productos típicos como jamón en el bufet, por ejemplo. Gritos y juegos de niños en la terraza del hotel después de las 12 de la noche, lo que impeTag el descanso a las Zimmer que daban a esa terraza.

Overall it was good, we liked it there.

+ The room was spacious, the view from the balcony, the bed was comfortable and the swimming pools vey good.

− Room cleaning. The maid didn't clean the room, she only made the beds. Not even the floor was swept. Another thing that disappointed us was the themed food, with few options and not including truly typical dishes, which was disappointing. We stayed four nights there and only ate the first two nights and then didn't eat anymore because the food was always the same, without much novelty and as I said, the typical dishes weren't worth it. But the food was well prepared.

A comfortable hotel in a great location with an excellent breakfast

+ The breakfast was great with a large selection and plenty of food. The room was comfortable, and the location was excellent. You can walk to the beach in about 3 minutes, and restaurants and shops are nearby.

− Parking was expensive for hotel guests. The hotel should offer a discounted rate, or at least cover part of the parking cost, especially since other hotels along the strip offer guest parking discounts.

Una estafa una vergüenza

+ Todo menos la estafa de dinero que nos hicieron mintiendo que no llegaba el pago y presionando todo el tiempo por tel como buenos ladrones o Sin querer vuelvo a alojarme e. El hor y salta el cargo doble que no pensaban pagar nie y de ahí en Max intentaban por postner que actuemos si. Pensar . Pagamos dos veces más de 1500 dólares y decir a qué no impactaba el pago que el QR estaba vencido y habíamos bezahlt y mandaron otro diciendo en 5 mi. Vence pagamos y nos robaron.

Good hotel, but some frustrating policies

+ Overall we had a decent stay at the Occidental, but a few things stopped it being a 4-star review. The location is great for the beach, although it’s around a 10–15 minute walk to the main concentration of restaurants and bars. We only ate breakfast at the hotel. There’s a really good range, although the hot food wasn’t great. Fruit, breads, cheeses and meats were all good. Our room was fairly standard and not particularly big. It was fine rather than memorable, although the sink not draining properly was annoying. Noise levels were good — generally a pretty quiet hotel with mainly adults and not loads of kids running around. The overall atmosphere is relaxed, although entertainment is fairly limited if that’s something you’re looking for. The pool is a great size with a shallow end for kids and a proper deep end, but the rules and lifeguarding let it down. No balls or inflatables despite no obvious signage, yet pool noodle battles are apparently fine. Some lifeguards were attentive; others spent far too much time on their phones. Three large plant pots also obstruct their view of parts of the pool, including the deep end, which seems an odd setup. The strangest moment was when a bird pooed on my pool towel and I asked to swap it. I was told towels can only be changed every three days unless you pay. Turns out that genuinely is hotel policy. For a premium hotel, picking a fight over a couple of euros to replace a bird- covered towel seems a strange choice! Drinks were reasonably priced, the beach location is excellent and there’s plenty to like. Sort out some of the petty pool policies and improve the lifeguarding and this could easily be a 4/5. As it stands, a fair 3/5
