Great stay in the heart of El Born

+ Vet easy to check in as they send you a code for the door. Communication with Alcam was easy. The property met my expectations, it was in a nice area pretty close to everything.

− Unfortunately no lift, but this is a Spanish thing. I was with my race bike so it was tricky bringing that up and down the tight stairs.

+ Location is very central and the apartment is very specious for Barcelona. Hot water and AC work well. Comfy bed.

− It is a bit of a climb to the apartment so if you have over packed you may regret it. The Apartment has equipment for cooking but nothing in terms of salt, or oil, so bring your own.

I’ve been in Spain for 3 months with amazing longer-term stays, but this has been a horrible experience.

+ Location, but given how bad this place is and how horrible the staff is, it is t worth it. There are lots of places to stay in this price range in this area that will be nicer.

− Sewage gas smell from bathroom was awful Was notified by rental company my acct was compromised - after I left. Nasty, moldy shower Body fluids dried on sofa and blanket All widows open into moldy internal shoot Property collects deposit separate from Booking (sketchy) Rude Staff I’ve emailed the people te report this and ask for a partial refund, as the sewage gasses were awful. No response at all, except to inform me that my acct was hacked and info stolen.

+ El alojamiento es mucho mejor que en las fotos tiene un sistema de iluminación que te relaja el aire acondicionado es potente el piso es muy fresco y silencioso está muy bien equipado baño y cocina y el aseo es lo mejor de todo definitivamente anfitrión profesional. Lo mejor es que fuimos aceptados con nuestros hijos perrunos sin duda repetiríamos muchas veces la llegada es autónoma y fácil lo recomiendo 10000% nos regresaron la fianza de inmediato

Lovely flat in a nice area but be prepared to get your steps in!

+ It’s a lovely flat in a really nice area. It was clean and the online key was quite handy.

− One towel each wasn’t really enough for a week long stay and there was no hand soap or toiletries which is difficult when you are flying with limited liquids. Some oil / salt / basic supplies for cooking would help.

Great location, be ready to up your step count.

+ Location near bars, restaurants and historical landmarks. Well connected via buses and walking distance to nice areas. The inside of the apartment is very pretty and well kept.

− No lift: We were bringing suitcases and it was quite the effort to bring them up the stairs. Not suitable for guests with reduced mobility. Don't lose your phone, don't run out of data or battery, the doors are operated online via app or browser. Easy to pick up noise from above, downstairs and across as there's little soundproofing.

− The apartment is located at the 3rd floor, there is no elevator and the stairs are narrow. There were noise from the other apartments as the soundproofing of the apartment is not good.

Cozy budget option with character, but don't trust the pictures, it's a lot more dingy.

+ Place certainly has character. Suitable for backpackers on a budget.

− 5th floor, no elevator, very narrow old rickety stairs. Smell of waste plumbing fills the place several times a day. Pictures make it look a lot more luxurious than it actually is. Still good value for what and where it is, if you don't have anything else beyond a backpack.

+ Excellent location, would recommend everyone to stay in El Born .. so central yet oozing with charm, stunning architecture, and the best restaurants. The apartment was really pleasant, very spacious, and had a great atmosphere.

− attempting to access the property on the first day was very difficult .. the owners had sent instructions but they were not clear and at one stage I was concerned we were going to have an issue. climbing 76 stairs to get to the apartment was challenging; I had seen comments after I booked this apartment re the many stairs,so I dont understand why it isn't mentioned in the ad.

− It was on the fifth floor which wasn’t specified and the stairs were very narrow and you have to be extra careful when you were going up and down. The apartment wasn’t very clean also

every morning and night a woman screaming so loudly we thought we were living below a brothel!

+ Super location close to the ramblas, the old city, the park, the train station... The flat is rather large. The staff is very nice and the check in/out system very easy.

− I did not remember it was specified we had to climb 4 levels to reach the flat.

− It was very cold there. Its probably very good place if there is a hot weather, but in the winter, too cold.

+ Centrally located, availability of heater. Spacious.

− Very old property. Tired looking. Minimal supplies for one week, for example just a few tea bags, one small shampoo.. Bathroom very old, and cold, should have had heater. Curtains and sofa dilapidated. Google maps doesn't take you to the property. Property only communicates through whatsapp messages and no calls. We had to ask locals to get to the property.
