Exceptional. We can't imagine a better place to stay in Granada.

+ Overall a perfect experience, one of the best places we've ever stayed at, anywhere. Located in the quaint Albaicin historic district with a jaw-dropping view of the Alhambra. Beautiful property, a tastefully restored traditional carmen house with a lush garden. Owner was incredibly warm and communicative, greeted us at check-in and gave us an overview to the neighborhood. Complimentary drinks and a snack basket.

− Cars can only stop a ~1 min walk away, which is normally fine, but was cumbersome with luggage (the shortage walk was had stairs). The host did offer to help us with the luggage. This is all to be expected though, since the property is in the historic Albaicin district.

Absolutely wonderful and worth it

+ We stayed at Carmen de Teada over Easter with our two children and it was honestly one of the highlights of our entire Spain trip. We booked the one-bedroom and had an incredible, direct view of the Alhambra—something you really don’t fully appreciate until you’re sitting there with it right in front of you. The apartment itself was extremely well thought out. We didn’t even need to use the pull-out couch—just the bed and couch worked perfectly for our family of four. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, and thoughtful extras like makeup remover. When we arrived, Santiago had also left a basket with fruit, meat, crackers, and stocked the fridge with beers, water, and Cokes, which was such a nice touch after a travel day. Santiago was one of the best hosts we’ve had. He was incredibly responsive on WhatsApp—whether we had a quick question, needed help coordinating a taxi, or just general timing questions, he replied almost immediately and made everything very easy. The location was perfect—an easy walk to the main areas of Granada. If you’re worried about navigating cobblestones with luggage, don’t be. Santiago gives very clear instructions, and it’s less than a two-minute walk from the drop-off point. One unexpected bonus: the shower. All four of us were able to shower back-to-back with consistent hot water, which was definitely not our experience elsewhere in Spain. The garden and outdoor space make the property even more special, and honestly, the view from the apartment is so good that you don’t even need to fight the crowds at Mirador de San Nicolás. Out of the four places we stayed in Spain, this was easily our favorite—and one of the best stays we’ve had across both Airbnb and Booking.com. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Santiago and Carmen de Teada.

+ 这次的住宿体验非常满意！房间非常干净整洁，设施齐全，让人住的非常安心舒适。房子主人热情友好，不仅提前沟通了入住细节，还在我们到达时亲自接待，服务非常周到。 最棒的是，住宿地点停车非常方便，虽然在限行的老城区，但是主人会帮助你申请临时通行证，房子有专属停车位不用担心停车的问题。 我们选择了二层阳台房间，对面就是阿尔罕布拉宫，风景优美。房间离观景点也非常近5分钟以后的距离。 整体来说，这次的住宿体验超出预期，非常推荐。

A favorite

+ One of my favorite stays. It is a beautifully renovated carmen that balances historic charm with modern comforts. The amenities were thoughtful (toiletries, chocolate by the bedside, complementary drinks, and welcome basket), bed and pillows comfortable, and views majestic. We stayed in the unit with glass doors that open out to a view of the Alhambra and the gardens below. It felt magical and uniquely Granada. We would happily return.

BEAUTIFUL APARTMENT AND MOST GRACIOUS HOST!

+ THIS IS ONE OF THE NICEST PROPERTIES WE HAVE STAYED IN. SANTIAGO IS A SUPER HOST - ONE OF THE BEST. FROM THE BEAUTIFUL VIEWS OUTSIDE OF THE APARTMENT WINDOWS, TO THE EXQUISITE LAYOUT OF THE ROOMS, WE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE PLEASED. AND THE GARDEN GROUNDS WERE LOVELY. ALSO A CLOSE-UP VIEW OF THE ALHAMBRA FROM THE LIVING ROOM WINDOWS. GOOD RESTAURANTS NEARBY. WALKABLE TO PARTS OF DOWNTOWN GRANADA, BUT BE PREPARED FOR HILLS. NEARBY PARKING WAS INCLUDED WITH THE PRICE. CANNOT SAY ENOUGH SUPERLATIVES ABOUT THIS BEAUTIFUL RENTAL AND THE GRACIOUS HOST, SANTIAGO, WHO GREETED US AND HELPED WITH ALL OUR NEEDS. THANK YOU.

+ Santiago waited patiently for us to arrive to greet us and show us around. Even though we were delayed and having trouble with waiting in avery long queue to get our hire car . But we were welcomed with a huge smile and shown around his beautirful property. . They provided us with a welcome hamper. Along with provisions in the fridge. It was a very comfy ,stunning property with breath taking views . It was very central , but. Peaceful .

The hotel is comfortable, quite, has great views of Alhambra and a beautiful private tranquil garden. Everything was done so tastefully. Santiago and his wife were excellent hosts, always there for recommendations and assistance. I would highly recommend staying at Carmen de Tadea.

This carmen was clean, had a beautiful view, was spacious, and had wonderful gardens to sit in.

He provided valuable directions to the parking garage and kept in touch until we pulled in- providing excellent service to ensure we parked correctly and we were guided to our front door! Coming in and out was secure and easy with a key fob. I cannot say enough about how wonderful this place was!

Amazing Carmen with perfect views of Alhambra

+ Absolutely amazing historical house with a beautiful garden in the Albazin of Granada. The details of the house are amazing, old doors, furniture, paintings mixed with new modern elements. The apartment was beautiful, large and well equipped. Highlight was the great view from the windows and even from the bed of Alhambra. Santiago is a great host and absolutely helpful. This is a total gem in Granada we would recommend 1000%.

− Nothing. There are quite a few steps up to the property from the river and church which may be an issue for less mobile people but a great way to get some exercise. There is an arts quarter a bit further up from the apartment which is wonderful.

+ Die Unterkunft in der Carmen ist etwas ganz Besonderes! Das Haus ist mit viel Engagement und Liebe zum Detail restauriert und ausgestattet. Es fehlt an nichts. Die Lage ist top, der Ausblick sensationell, es ist sehr ruhig und der Garten ein Traum! Santiago, der Gastgeber, ist äußerst hilfsbereit, zuvorkommend und freundlich. Er ist ein besonderer Mensch, der für seine Carmen eine große Leidenschaft hat und das Ganze dadurch abrundet. Es fängt an mit dem persönlichen Empfang, der Einweisung und dem Begrüßungspaket. Auch die Verabschiedung ist wieder persönlich. Wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen und haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

+ This is a special place. It’s not the type of place you drop off your luggage at, go out all day and only return to for sleeping. This place invites you to contemplate. It’s your secret garden tucked away in plain sight, in the hustle and bustle of Albiacin at your door step but out of earshot. The blanket of greenery in the garden extends to merge with the forest of Alhambra, and in a way, although you’re some distance away, you feel you’re part of Alhambra. The apartments are beautiful with calmness and warmth. It has everything you need. The owner is the kindest and sweetest person. He will welcome you warmly and let you enjoy peacefully. As a regular in Granada, this is definitely one of my top choices to come back to.
