Character and comfort in a heritage house

+ What an amazingly beautiful house, in a lovely location, with a really friendly host (Phil). It was a pleasure to spent time there (we visited both on the outward and return legs of our journey). The room is more of a 'suite', with a very spacious bathroom (with large shower and a separate claw-foot tub!), a bedroom, and a sitting room, with an olde world feel. Lots of character and comfort. The stone walls meant that the suite would be cooler in Summer (we found it cool enough, without aircon) and (presumably) easier to keep warm in Winter. There was also a beautiful walled garden with fountain, a perfect secluded setting for breakfast. The accommodation is in the old part of Chinchon and a short walk to the centre with a variety of restaurants and bars.

− The only suggestion would be to have more breakfast options for people who prefer less sweet things (some slices of cheese for example, to have with the tomato on bread which was the only savoury option).

A little paradise

+ A very spacious, clean and charming double room and bathroom. The most lovely patio and garden where out breakfast was served on beautifull classic crockery. Really a little paradise and a very friendly host.

+ Endroit très confortable et agréable. Par 36 degrés dehors la suite incroyable décorée avec beaucoup de goût est un vrai havre de fraîcheur. Le clou du séjour: le petit déjeuner dans le jardin magnifique avec sa petit fontaine. Sans parler de Phil hôte tellement prévenant et discret!! On recommande fortement!!

− シャワーが冷たかったのが残念です。二人にはお湯の量が足りなかったのだと思います。素敵なバスタブもありましたが、熱いお湯で温まることはできませんでした。

+ Zeer schone kamers. Mooi klassiek ingericht en grote mooie badkamer. Bijzonder is de prachtige binnenplaats waar een heerlijk ontbijt wordt geserveerd. Zeer vriendelijke eigenaar.

Don't miss a relaxing stay at Casa San Roque

+ Phil was a welcoming, helpful, and charming host. The suite, an excellent bathroom, a very comfortable bedroom and separate sitting room remained cool on very hot days. Breakfast in the internal garden was a treat. Free parking available a few metres away. The apartment is located 200m from the main picturesque placa of Chinchon. A 40 minute easy drive to Madrid airport. Casa San Roque is a wonderful start or finish to a trip in Spain, and a very good base for exploring the surrounding area.

An escape within an escape

+ Casa San Roque is the perfect escape in Chinchón, which is the perfect escape from Madrid. If you decide to go down there, Phil is an incredible host. The garden surrounded by the old walls is a place to lose yourself in.

+ It's a piece of paradise in a small pretty town. So tranquil, beautiful, comfort and spacious. The owners have done everything to make visitors stay perfect. Coffee, fruits, high quality beds and towels. Always shade place to sit in the garden. The beautiful square nearby with very good restaurants. Opposit of the Casa is a small crocery offering local stuff, wines etc. We've been many places in Spain, but this was above all of them.
