Avoid! Not Worth the Price. Unnaceptable Hygiene and Maintenance

+ The only good thing was the location as I booked this for my dad and brother and it was near the area where I live.

− I booked this accommodation for my family over Christmas as I am a local resident in Corralejo but lacked space at home. Having worked in the hotel industry and as a host myself for many years, I can confidently say this is the worst accommodation I have ever encountered. At 770€ for the week, the value for money is non-existent. Cleanliness: Upon arrival, the lack of hygiene was shocking. The apartment clearly had not been deep-cleaned in a long time. The kitchen cloths were filthy (I wouldn't use them for floor rags), and the microwave and kettle were in appalling condition—dirty and seemingly salvaged from a construction site, the kitchen cupboards were falling apart too. The sofa, cushions, and curtains were stained and unwashed; we actually had to cover the sofa with our own sheets just to sit on it. Linens: Most concerning were the bed linens. They were old and actually had beach sand on them upon arrival. I was forced to bring clean duvets and sheets from my own home for my family to sleep in. Maintenance & Amenities: The kitchen is falling apart. The Wi-Fi disconnected constantly, making it unusable. While the bathroom and shower were acceptable, this does not make up for the rest of the neglect. Communication: Communication with the host was difficult. It is ironic that the host demands guests take out rubbish and wash dishes, yet the cleaning fee clearly isn't being used to clean the property between stays, cleaning fee that its also paid within the reservation. Recommendation: As a Corralejo local, I know this town has much better standards to offer. I strongly advise potential guests to look elsewhere. To the owner: This is not personal, but a business reality check. You cannot charge these prices for a unit in this state. Basic hygiene is a requirement, not a luxury. Please review your cleaning service immediately, as it is severely damaging your business.

− Abrir los muebles de la cocina y casi quedarte con las puertas en la mano La vajilla toda pringada de grasa Las exigencias del propietario respecto a la limpieza del apartamento

+ La ubicación estaba genial, muy cerca de todo, pero lo suficientemente alejado del barullo del centro, por lo que se podía dormir bien y solíamos encontrar aparcamiento fácilmente.

− Nuestro vuelo llegaba muy pronto por la mañana , por lo que preguntamos si podríamos hacer el check in antes, el anfitrión nos dijo que en principio no porque tenían que limpiarlo en 2 horas, pero que intentarían tener el piso lo antes posible. Una vez aterrizamos, volví a preguntarle si al final sería posible entrar antes y nos dijo que no, que a las 14. Por lo que nos fuimos a comer. A las 3.45pm le avisé de que ya ibamos, nos dió los códigos para entra y resulta que la llave no está en la puerta. Nos dice que viene una empleada suya a darnosla y cuál es la sorpresa que la vemos llegar junto a un montón de productos de limpieza porque resulta que el piso estaba sin limpiar. Os podéis imaginar el cabreo que pillamos, despiertos desde las 5am y a las 4pm tener que volver a esperar para poder entrar en el piso. Una vez pudimos entrar, no sé muy bien el tipo de limpieza que habían hecho porque las toallas y las sábanas olían como si les hubieran echado un poco de perfume por encima y ya, menos mal que tenían lavadora y pudimos lavarlas nosotros. También había restos de comida de otros huéspedes en la nevera, en fin, un desastre porque las 2 horas de limpieza se convirtieron en 30 minutos y entiendo que una sola persona no da para más. Tema aparte, el agua en la ducha salía fria y de seguido ardiendo sin tocarla, durante todo el rato. No había microhondas ni horno.

Excelente ubicación, espacioso y muy cómodo apartamento

+ Bien ubicado, y especioso, con balcón, en zona céntrica aunque muy tranquila para descansar. Excepto porque ahora está rodeado de construcciones entonces hay mucho ruido todo el día

− Los muebles de la cocina están flojos, se cae la puerta sobre uno, y es solo ajustarlo

− Necesita algo de reforma...

+ Quiet environment, absolutely great communication with the owner, friendly approach, if there is a problem, Mario solves everything immediately

+ The property is in a good location , in the center of Corralejo It’s spacious with a separated bedroom and balcony and clean

− Unfortunately our experience wasn’t good. The house is ok, livable but managed poorly There is an issue with the bathroom as the water goes out of the shower due to how it was built One day before booking I started to receive unprofessional messages from the owner with lots of house rules, “wash the plates, bring the garbage out or you don’t get the deposit” He asked me for 300€ deposit before the checkin else “you will not get in the house”, however this was never mentioned during the booking that we have to pay before When checkout nobody was there as he mentioned to check the house and return the deposit but we cleaned everything and send a video to be fair. We only received part of the money back (after messaging lots of times) as he claimed needed to pay some transfer tax. After all we had to contact booking for this property, it was a headache i would have preferred to avoid during holiday It’s a new listed property so we couldn’t verify also many reviews but I hope this helps others to evaluate their decision
