Assolutamente consigliato!

+ Un luogo meraviglioso, ma ciò che fa davvero la differenza è l’attenzione verso l’ospite.Durante il mio Cammino di Santiago mi sono trovata ad avere una difficoltà concreta nel trovare un taxi per raggiungere Caldas de Reis e consegnare il bagaglio prima di proseguire. Il proprietario si è attivato personalmente per aiutarmi e risolvere il problema: una disponibilità e una gentilezza che, soprattutto durante il Cammino, fanno davvero la differenza.La struttura è splendida, immersa nella natura e curata nei dettagli. Bellissima anche la colazione, ricca, di qualità e decisamente al di sopra delle aspettative.Un luogo speciale, ma soprattutto un’accoglienza che ricorderò. Assolutamente consigliato.

Truly a gem, not to miss!!

+ Stunning hotel - it looks/feels way better in real than the photos. Beautiful gardens, natural pool, located right in the middle of nature (river Umia flows all around and through the hotel!). The building is also incredibly well kept and decorated. The staff was super nice, the breakfast buffet is one of the best I had in years - with many local/home products. Breathtaking views all around. Cant believe this only a 3star hotel - I guess it's maybe because it lacks some amenities (e.g lifts?). Strongly recommend, I will surely be back - ah super quiet as well, not many rooms/guests at all!

+ El entorno y el trato del personal, en especial el del responsable que se encontraba trabajando de tarde, que estuvo pendiente de que estuviésemos a gusto, tanto en la piscina como en la cena. Volveremos para disfrutar del lugar y desconectar.

Our Favorite Camino Portuguese Hotel

+ My wife absolutely loved this hotel. It looked nice when I booked it online, but I had no idea just how special it would be. Although our room was not large, it was beautifully decorated with historic charm, and the large windows overlooked the stunning grounds. After a long day of walking the Camino Portuguese, we had planned to simply rest in our room. Instead, we spent the afternoon relaxing beneath the shade of a magnificent tree and enjoying the peaceful setting. A river flows through the back of the property, and part of it has been channeled into a beautiful natural freshwater pool, making the grounds feel like a private retreat. Breakfast offered a smaller selection than some of the other hotels where we stayed, but everything was fresh and delicious, and the service was excellent. The only drawback is that the hotel is located a few miles outside Caldas de Reis, so it requires a short taxi ride to reach. Even so, the tranquil setting and exceptional atmosphere made it one of the highlights of our Camino. We would gladly stay here again.

+ Me gustó todo en general , la atención excelente , el comedor el desayuno buenísimo y la habitación súper bonita y cómoda .La piscina es un plus y más con el sonido del Río .

− La piscina es preciosa , lo único que para entrar al agua las piedras están llenas de algas y te puedes resbalar fácilmente , yo tuve que entrar con sandalias para no resbalar .

Hotel does not live up to location.

+ The Location is fantastic.

− No Air Conditioning, very uncomfortable in summer. Food is below average for what would be expected at such a location. Deserts come in glass jars purchased elsewhere. No bar. To get a drink or food you must make a phone call. No receptionist, this role is shared by any member of staff. Expensive for what you get.

− The restaurant was ok. Nice food but not great. Previously Michelin rated but doubt they would be now.

Outstanding stay in a beautiful location outside of the town center. Highly recommend treating yourself!

+ Una experiencia maravillosa! Un hotel excepcional, muy bien ubicado a las afueras de la ciudad. Las instalaciones son preciosas y se nota el cuidado en cada detalle. Los jardines y todos los exteriores están impecables y son realmente hermosos. El personal merece una mención especial: todos fueron increíblemente amables, cálidos y acogedores. Nos sentimos muy bien recibidos desde el primer momento. Sin duda volveríamos. ¡Nos encantó todo!

− La habitación no era muy grande, pero estaba decorada con mucho gusto, era muy acogedora y tenía todo lo necesario para una estancia cómoda.

+ Geweldige locatie met prachtige tuinen. Alles straalt rust uit en de waterval is geweldig. Puntje van verbetering: het eten mist een beetje finesse. Ik kom nog terug!

+ Overall I would recommend Torre do Rio. The property and grounds are absolutely beautiful and the atmosphere is very special. I'm very glad I stayed there for 2 nights. Having said that, there is room for improvement: getting a taxi out to the hotel was difficult and instructions in advance would have been helpful. Ditto on walking back into town on the path--I got lost! The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from town. The staff is sweet but mostly do not speak English, which is fine, but some printouts with info on how to get around, what to do in the area would have been helpful.

+ Raj na zemi. Uzasne miesto, dokonale pre úplný odpočinok. Bazén s vodou z rieky bol pre mna úplný balzam na nohy po toľkých km Camina.

+ El sitio es espectacular, no se aprecia en las fotos. Tiene varias zonas en los jardines preciosas. Se escucha el sonido del río por toda la casa que hace que sea una experiencia totalmente relajante. La casa por dentro está cuidada al detalle y el personal es súper amable, he de hacer especial mención a Dariana que fue la que nos atendió y fue encantadora. A la comida del restaurante no le pondría tampoco ninguna pega. Lo recomendaría sin duda y volveremos.

A stunningly beautiful hotel supported by magnificent staff - one of a kind! You must stay here!

+ A simply stunning property. An absolutely beautiful setting, cradled by the Umia River with gorgeous flowers, plants, trees, and birds all around. The pool is spectacular, blending into the natural river setting. Rooms are charming and beautifully furnished. Throughout the property there are private sitting areas for quiet reflection or conversation. The restaurant is also excellent - very good wines, fresh bread, delicious entrees. Try the cod or the spaghetti with garlic shrimp. While all these features make for an absolutely delightful, one of a kind stay, what truly elevates this hotel into the realm of heavenly is the staff. Never before have we experienced such gracious, kind, attentive and helpful staff. We can’t wait to return to this exceptional hotel!

Bela surpresa nos caminhos de Santiago

+ É tudo lindíssimo. O local onde está o hotel é maravilhoso. O hotel em si é muito bonito e gostei muito da decoração. Foi um bom pequeno-almoço.

− Quando chegamos, não estava ninguém disponível para nos abrir a porta de fora. E depois não estava ninguém na recepção. De resto o staff é muito amável e prestável.
