Good budget friendly option in Sitges (ie anything under 100 euros a night is budget in Sitges!) Comfortable smallish room with aircon overlooking street. (Double glazed windows so no noise) Breakfast was good and nice pool area. Central location and bear train station. Friendly and helpful staff. Hotel clean snd well maintained, although lobby/reception area a bit dark/dingy and could do with-some updating. Not the Ritz, but overall I was happy.
The Hotel does not really change ... and that is a real positive. The Buffet breakfasts stand alone in terms of multiple choices ... Hot offerings include Boiled or scrambled Eggs, Sausages, Bacon and baked beans ... fine tasting salad tomatoes are also available. Fruit Juice and many fruits including Melon and a choice pf Yogurts. Cold meats and cheeses plus many types of bread and small cakes including very fresh Croissants. Soya milk and having bought two new Coffee machines, a very decent Coffee and several Teas yo choose from. All the staff at the Hotel are charming and attentive and the Reception staff cannot do enough to help when needed. The double room, 325, taken because of the cost, is perfect with a very good power-shower and a safety deposit box in the wardrobe (extra 3€ per day.) The room was cleaned spotlessly each day and towels changed each day. The room has a fridge. This Hotel, once again is highly recommended. Anthony K
Positives: The room was spacious and clean with one of the biggest beds I have ever experienced. Good housekeeping services Hotel is well positioned to access public transport and bars & restaurants Breakfast was well run with a good selection of things to eat. There were a few shortages of items at times and drink machines were a bit slow and not always reliable, but nothing so bad. Negatives: The staff at reception were of varying friendliness and helpfulness. I didn't always feel comfortable asking questions (which should never be the case) There were issues around a bedside lamp and fridge in the room. The bedside lamp got resolved. The maintenance guy said they would look into the fridge when the room was vacated. The air conditioning leaked some water on to my head one night I was there which threw me. I slept on the other side of the bed but eventually returned when it didn't happen for two nights afterwards. But not a great thing to happen. There was no kettle in the room which was disappointing not to be able to make a morning coffee or tea. I could bring one up from the breakfast room but not the same as making one when I wanted to. All in all a mixed bag. I would stay here again but they need to look at these negatives and address them.
Brilliant hotel! Lovely staff, really clean and tidy, good selection of food for breakfast too. Room was lovely, cleaned every day. Perfect location for trains and buses, shops, restaurants and the beach. We will definitely return.
Great! value for money. September 2025 Sitges! We enjoyed our stay at Hotel El Cid in Sitges. It was really nice, the location is great, there are many cafes, restaurants, shops nearby, close to the sea and the train station. The room was good, spacious with a large bed, and we had a balcony. Unfortunately, we missed one thing - we didn't have a kettle with coffee/tea in the room. The bathroom was a bit tired and could do with some updates, the shower hose should be fixed. But otherwise everything was great and the price was worth it. The staff are all lovely, but I especially want to thank receptionist Eduardo, a Cuban guy who gave us very professional advice on what and where to visit in the city, was very helpful, polite and funny at the same time. We would happily stay here again.
Very clean, very friendly and helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble. Excellent value for money too. A good location also, close to the station, shops, cafe's, bars, a short walk to the beach.
The breakfast was really good, lots of choice and availability. The rooms were a bit dated and our balcony didn't have a view. Negotiating entry and exit to the shower right next to the toilet was a feat! Soundproofing was also an issue. Overall value for money it was ok.
The hotel was an easy level walk from the train station. Our room was ready so we were allowed to check in 3 hours early which was helpful. The attic room had a large comfortable bef and a large balcony with sunbeds and chairs.The hotel is centrally located amd oy is sm easy ealk to the seafront. There are lots of dining options in the town. Although we did not use the pool it did look clean with a few sunbeds around it. Breakfast was until midday and there was a very good selection of food available. All the staff we came across were friendly and helpful. The only negative I can think of was that the plumbing was very noisy in our room which can wake you up. We would stay there again.
This hotel is OK. But just that. The beds are rather large, which by and large is a good thing but anymore than 1 person in the room and you need to navigate around the bed. We were given the “best room” which made me laugh after the first night as we faced the main road and were subject to almighty smashing each morning when the bottle bins were emptied at 5am. The hotel is VERY clean, impressively so and that warrants the 4 stars otherwise it would be less. The pool disappointed us with a whole 8 loungers (we never managed to use it as a result) but it looked nice, clean and tidy. Over all an OK hotel for a few nights but not a holiday. Grumpy larger bloke at reception needs to Learn some manners too….
This hotel is so lovely! It feels like a really authentic old Spanish building but still has modern conveniences that you need on holiday, like aircon, a super powerful shower and a lovely pool area. The staff are all very helpful and we had no issues getting checked in or out. It's also a very central hotel so we could get anywhere within a 10 minute walk, including the beach and any restaurants we wanted to go to. My only suggestions would be more sunbeds around the pool - some people struggled and were lying on the tiled floor - and more healthy options at breakfast - there were a few fruit pots that disappeared as soon as they were brought out, but the rest was cooked breakfast or pastries.

A lovely friendly warm hotel with so much charm. This is the second time we have stayed here in the last two years. The staff cannot do enough for you and work tirelessly to make you stay clean and comfortable. The hotel is situated close to shops, bars, restaurants and beaches making it a great choice. Breakfasts are great with lots of choice. There is a pool if you don't want to visit the three superb beaches. Well Recommended.
We love sitges, The el cid is a perfect hotel that’s hidden gem. The staff are all very friendly and the hotel is spotless and well cleaned. We had a pool side room that was perfect, quiet, clean and a comfortable room with a balcony over the pool. We had air con in the room which was nice. The breakfast is always very nice, the lovely guy that greets makes the experience. Fresh hot coffee & other drinks, fresh cool drinks, fresh food and made hot food.

Really great place, laid back lovely staff. Breakfast until noon. Food good even if a certain guest, a friend of the staff who goes every year, gets preferential treatment... nice cakes etc. that are not put out for the other guests! Pool is good but closes a bit early at 8pm. Needs more umbrellas as it gets very hot.

So firstly I would say I was really impressed with this hotel, we arrived early but quickly checked in. The room was clean and a good size, bed was massive. Room had a fridge and air conditioning, it was cleaned every day and was spotless. Pool area is lovely and relaxing, we always got a bed. The breakfast was excellent, you didn't have to be up too early to enjoy it and there was a good selection. We stayed 5 nights and the value for money is excellent, as is the location. However the reason I couldn't give it 5 stars, the noise from the street, I understand you'll get some with the location of the hotel but I'm a heavy sleeper and I struggled, if the balcony door had double glazing that would help. I'd go back but I'd want a pool side view.

The hotel is centrally located in Sitges meaning it is easy and simple to navigate to local transport services, beaches, bars, and a wide range of restaurants.
A lovely retro hotel. Straight out fo the 80’s but generally in very good condition. Comfortable beds, and good water pressure, the shower unit however was broken (room 111) so it was difficult to close. Wonderful helpful friendly staff. Nice large pool. Breakfast was ok, and catered for dairy free and gluten free diets. For a budget hotel in a great location this is ideal.
El Cid Hotel was an absolute gem! The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay unforgettable. Check-in was a breeze, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quick and easy process. I stayed in a cosy, small room on the second floor with a balcony. The room and bathroom were spotless and incredibly comfortable. I opted for the two-night bed and breakfast package, and the breakfast was a delightful spread with a wide variety of options. The best part? You don’t have to wake up early for it! Checkout was at midday, which gave me plenty of time to leave my bag with the friendly staff at the front desk. After checking out, I was able to enjoy the hotel’s swimming pool, complete with a room with a shower for after. Despite being a one-star hotel, El Cid Hotel exceeded my expectations. I’ve stayed in four-star hotels that weren’t as impressive, so I’m truly impressed. Don’t hesitate to book your stay here – you won’t be disappointed! I can’t emphasise enough how wonderful this hotel and its staff were. They truly made my stay relaxing and enjoyable. Thank you for making my experience so memorable! I’ll see you this coming Wednesday for my second stay 😎
Excellent location 2 minute walk from the old town, 5 minute walk from the train station. Close to shops and bars. Staff are all friendly. Breakfast had a lot of choice, both continental and cooked, although the scrambled egg was powdery. It was constantly refreshed as trays were emptied; lots of bread choices. We had an internal room next to the lift. If you are a light sleeper bring earplugs as there is a lot of noise as people come in at all hours. Bed was huge and very comfortable. The room was very clean, and cleaned every day with a change of towels. Air-conditioning was excellent. The room is basic with a small fridge, but if you want a kettle or hairdryer, bring one with you and there is not tea or coffee available. Bathroom was small but the shower was excellent with very good water pressure. For the three nights we were there, it met our needs, but if staying longer I would suggest booking a balcony room.
Location and price
Cool older hotel with some interesting carved pillars in the expansive lounge areas. The room was comfortable except we had a hard time finding enough room for our luggage without tripping on it. But it's on a quieter street adjacent to all the nightlife, shops restaurants and a quick meander to the beach. The big bonus, besides being cool in a slightly old-fashioned way, was the huge breakfast buffet they serve from 8 am to 12 noon. We had a back balcony with no view, but still nice to step out and the room was very quiet. Nice big shower!
My daughter and I absolutely LOVED everything about this hotel. We weren't expecting much as it's only got 1 star - I can't think why! - but it surpassed our expectations. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet was excellent with plenty of vegan options (including delicious freshly grated tomato with garlic and lots of fresh fruit) and the pool area was great with lots of sunbeds. I was particularly impressed by the lovely communal seating areas with design features reminiscent of Morocco or Tunisia. Also good to have a fridge in the bedroom.

Great location — a few minutes’ walk from the bus stop and the train station — and helpful staff, but the property needs a serious facelift. Our room was tiny and a bit smelly. The bathroom was the tiniest bathroom I’ve ever seen; it was like an airplane bathroom with a teeny-tiny shower. There was zero counter space in the bathroom. The breakfast was OK but the glasses smelled of eggs. The coffee was watery.
