+ To be very honest, I did not like anything at all about the property. I hated my experience and it was and still is a huge regret! Firstly, Getting there was a tug of war! The transport from the airport first struggled to get the car through the road and to find the address. So he drove past and I add to walk all the way back up. Then it was a nightmare to push suitcase over the very steep road trying to find the property in the dark (which wasn’t properly signposted). Inside the property is quite busy and mismatched. The photos aren’t the same inside! The main issue is that the property is freezing cold to the point that another guest who was sleeping came out in thick hoodies and was shivering, she held a hot water bottle close to her chest. Poor thing! She told me “it’s freezing here” the same room they were going to put me! That’s when I said, ‘sorry I can’t stay here’ I don’t want to catch pneumonia! I had to find another hotel by midnight, hire a taxi and left. The lady in the house (caretaker) wasn’t making anything easy nor sympathetic at all. She was cold! I requested a refund through booking.com which was approved. The owner didn’t accept liability but agreed to pay me back. I didn’t stay one night out of the 10 nights booked. (Sure they rented it ) He agreed and then 48 hrs after they said it has expired because I didn’t respond to the time sensitive email nobody told me about? Respond to what? To say that I want the refund that I requested and somehow fought for? Up till now, they still haven’t refunded me. Otherwise I won’t be so sad and leaving this bad but honest review.

− Hacía frío y en mi dormitorio había una ventana que no tenía hoja solo una mosquitera, bien para la ventilación pero cuando está lloviendo y hace frío hay que cerrar

− Hacía mucho frío por la noche en la habitación. Mucha humedad y mantienen las ventanas abiertas con mosquiteras imagino por eso.

+ Nice design and good social atmosphere, it feels like home. A lovely terrace and garden, located in a quiet neighborhood.

− Water pressure in shower a bit low.

Nice historical house, good location, lacks community feeling and activities as advertised

+ The historical house is nicely renovated and decorated, lovely garden and rooftop. A lot of love has been put into that.

− Rooms 1 and 2 get a bad deal on the assigned bathroom, it's very small and cramped, all the other bathrooms are much nicer. Absence of any community activities was disappointing: no breakfast, yoga, breakfast or other activities as advertised are happening. The owner is planning to start those again when they hire a community manager, but till then I know other co-living places on Tenerife do a better job.

Great place for great value.

+ The house is amazing and very pretty. The garden and roof balcony were also very pretty. The amenities are wonderful.

− Morning breakfast was missing which was supposed to be included. Owners were never there and we had to figure stuff out in-between tenants.

+ Really enjoyed staying here, it's an old beautiful building with so much open area's. The owners are very welcoming and helpful indeed with information and tips. Enjoyed the relaxing and also the area with everything you need 5mins walking distance.

I would have stayed much longer if I had the time!

+ The place is simply beautiful, relaxing, with positive vibes, exactly as it appears in the picture. It is located in beautiful Orotava which is a must seen in Tenerife, and offers a spectacular view of the coastline and the mountains from the rooftop. Very well connected by bus.

Charming house with few things to improve

+ Gato Coliving is really charming, the house is very confortable and the spaces of working are good and with a lot of ligth. Is very well located with a Mercadona just 3 minutes away. Theres a sauna in the house (with an extra payment but still cheap if you share) and is really awesome to have the option of organizing a sauna night. A very clean coliving and a very well equiped kitchen. Rooftop is beautiful and the spaces of the house are magic.

− Bad things for me are the following: -There are not female shared rooms and not all the guests are digital nomads, so if you shared the room maybe you will share with travelers/tourists and theres a risk you cannot sleep well, avoid sharing room in any case. -Breakfast is only cereals, should be good have at least yoghurt or fruit to put the cereals there. -In winter the house is very cold. -You have to paid extra for almost everything like the clothes washing machine, screen in the coworking or even if you ask for a mouse in case you forgot it fo example. -It will be nice to have more activities organized by the coliving and not by ourselves, yoga clases or monday dinners never ocurred during my stay.

+ Cecile and Ana were amazing !! And with all the other people living here, the vibe was excellent. Also the house is very nice and the coworking space is one of the best !

− I would say the price for the dorm is a bit expensive. Also we were 3 people in the dorm while almost all the rooms were empty, I don’t understand why we couldn’t go in the empty rooms…it would have made the experience much better

+ I really enjoyed staying at this co-living / co-working space and would come here again, whenever I come back to Tenerife. The house is newly renovated, but the owners have managed to keep the historic character of the building - it is absolutely beautiful and charming. There is also a cute garden in the back and a really nice roof terrace with a view over the city. I stayed in a 4-bed mixed dorm. The bed was very comfortable and I had my own space, even though I was sharing the room with others. I got sent detailed instructions for checking in well in advance, as the owner wasn't available at my arrival time, but that wasn't even necessary as I was welcomed by the community manager there. Everything was clean and well-kept, and I love that everyone was wearing house slippers. I also really enjoyed meeting the people there, and even though I wasn't staying as long as everyone else, I felt very welcome. :)

− From the description in the listing, it was a bit difficult to tell how big the dorms would be and whether they were mixed rooms. I wanted to stay in a dorm anyways, so I didn't mind but it took some research to figure out :)

+ It was really beautiful, with nice interior as being an old style house, well decorated making all plesant. Pics on website are reliable. Great location.

− The room I was in has a window towords the corridor and it is covered with a curtain that lives the possibility to be seen from who is passing in the corridor, especially if with lights on, that was not good for the privacy and perhaps that could be improved.
