+ Very good hotel in the centre of Beaune. The hotel has got lots of history and the atmosphere and decorations are exceptional and throw you back in the 1600s.
King Louis XIV stayed at the hotel for 4 nights during is reign.
The rooms are very good, the double were a bit small but the suite are very nice.
Breakfast was really good.
Also they have a car park (at a small cost) which is really good considering the location
Highly recommended

+ My husband and I have been to Beaune before but this time we wanted to stay a couple nights right in the center to experience the city longer. Beaune is special and Hotel Le Cep pairs beautifully with this special place. The hotel itself is so charming, unique & beautiful but the staff is amazing. They accommodated us with the little things that truly matter and make your stay memorable. From bringing shopping bag to our room without asking to organizing a wine tasting prior to our checkout but also extending our checkout to match the wine tasting. This was also done without asking. The bartender was lovely & the hotel Sommalier Sebastian was a lovely man. We learned a lot about the hotel from him and his wine education & tasting in the hotel cellar was truly enjoyable. The breakfast in the outdoor courtyard was so lovely too. A really romantic and peaceful setting. There was one younger female server 5not very friendly) who clearly didn’t know how to make a cappuccino (was serving it cold with barely any foam & also a surrounding table was telling her their coffee was cold). She was definitely the exception but thankfully a different fellow showed up and made us these beautiful hot cappuccinos. So beautiful I took a photograph. We will certainly return to hotel Le CEP and are grateful for the experience we had and enjoyed the staff immensely!

+ Ideal hotel to explore the Beaune area. The whole staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel is very comfortable. The hotel helped us to organise two half days visits to wine yards.
4,0DarrenAbrams🇻🇮 VI · En familia · ago 20263.5-star hotel with five-star gimmicks
+ Where to start?
The incredibly loud and ineffective air conditioning, which clicked on and off all night despite the thermostat being set to 5°C?
The truly awful bathroom fixtures, which appear not to have been updated since the 1980s? (The hairdryer belongs in a one-star Travelodge.)
The attitude of most of the reception staff, who often didn’t even bother to greet us?
The constant slamming of doors by housekeeping staff, throughout the afternoon, on both days?
Housekeeping not bothering to replace empty water bottles?
Lumpy pillows filled with what felt like cubes of old foam?
Even the PLASTIC flowers in the corridors have wilted.
And if you’re going to make a feature of having an Ayurvedic centre on site, why not carry some of that philosophy through to the bedrooms? Instead, the bathrooms have cheap little plastic bottles of toiletries, which were replaced every day even when only partially used — presumably with the remainder simply discarded. It feels completely at odds with the wellness and sustainability message the hotel is trying to project.
Perhaps if some of the money spent on gimmicky room tablets, illuminated maps and an F1 simulator were instead invested in decent bathrooms, effective air conditioning, comfortable pillows and modern electrics, this might feel more like the five-star hotel it claims to be.
Instead, you can bank on standing in a bathtub to shower, lighting that belongs in the 1980s, sockets from another century, no useful modern charging points, terrible WiFi and, far too often, surly and uninterested staff who seem happier standing around gossiping than engaging with guests.
The bar was another bizarre experience. Seven of the nine cocktails we tried to order — from the hotel’s own cocktail menu — were unavailable because they didn’t have the ingredients. To be fair, when we finally found cocktails they *could* make, they were made very well.
And whatever you do, avoid Room 306 unless you enjoy hotel staff constantly going

+ Our stay here was absolutely amazing! From the moment that we arrived, staff were amazing, coming outside to help us with bags and parking. The parking here is inside the hotel, even with charging for electric cars, which was super convenient. The staff were all very helpful and every single request was satisfied! The atmosphere is very cosy and warm with a homely style and the building is picturesque! The rooms were spacious, clean and had amazing complimentary water and snacks. The spa and wellness centre felt like an experience that was set up just for us, with the massages being super comfortable and pleasant and the complimentary cosmetics line had an amazing fragrance and feel on the skin. None of the hotel areas were overcrowded, which was amazing as lots of resorts tend to have many many people. The town is a quiet gem and this hotel was one of our favorite places to stay at this holiday!

10,0TravelMagazineBel🇦🇳 AN · En pareja · jul 2026History in the heart of Beaune
+ We spent two nights at Hôtel Le Cep and really enjoyed our stay. What makes this hotel special is that it is not really one hotel at all, but a collection of historic houses joined together over decades. The result is a unique and characterful property that feels more like staying in a private Burgundian residence than in a traditional luxury hotel.
From arrival onwards, service was excellent. The staff handled our luggage and parking, reception was always available, and everyone was welcoming and professional. The location is perfect, right in the historic centre of Beaune and within walking distance of the Hospices de Beaune, restaurants and wine bars.
We stayed in the Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru Suite, which was spacious, quiet and full of character, with exposed beams, a large bathroom and a private terrace overlooking the rooftops. The bed was very comfortable and housekeeping was impeccable.
Breakfast in the historic courtyard was a highlight. Quality local products, made-to-order eggs and attentive service made for a relaxed start to the day. We also enjoyed dinner at Loiseau des Vignes, where the food was excellent and the Burgundy wine selection by the glass was a major attraction.
The hotel's historic layout is part of its charm, with courtyards, salons, staircases and hidden corners everywhere. Wine lovers will appreciate the tasting cellar, while the spa and wellness facilities add another dimension to the stay.
Pros:
Exceptional location in central Beaune
Unique historic character and architecture
Spacious, comfortable rooms
Excellent service throughout
Outstanding wine focus and tasting opportunities
Very good breakfast
Michelin Guide restaurant on-site
Beautiful courtyards and lounges
Cons:
Air conditioning struggled during very hot weather
Historic layout means lots of stairs and corridors
Some guests may find the design eclectic rather than cohesive

7,0francesco albertini🇮🇹 Italia · Viaje individual · jul 2026+ Posizione magnifica. Struttura molto bella
