Macdonald La Ermita Resort

+ I have stayed at this property three times. Different apartments each time. I generally love the place and the facilities and amenities are great. Unfortunately on two of my three stays the beds have been very uncomfortable, lumpy and hard. One stay the bed was fantastic

+ Lovely spacious apartment with large terrace and stunning view.

+ Lady in restaurant from Argentina very friendly and cooked well Made us feel welcome Pool area perhaps a little tired as was bar furniture. However some new arrived on the last day!

+ The property was clean and well maintained. The only downside is not enough sunbeds for the amount of guests so sunbed wars were a thing!

+ Perfect quiet location for sophisticated travelers, high up in the mountains over looking the chaotic crowds on the sea front. We picked up a rental car on arrival in Malaga airport so we had no problems exploring southern Spain

Perfect Stay

+ Modern, clean & well appointed apartment. Fabulous view from the balcony too. Plenty of space for two adults and two teenagers. Good internet speed & TV with English channels for anyone else taking teenagers abroad!! We had a small issue with a broken window lock which was fixed immediately by very friendly and helpful staff. Small air conditioned gym with plenty of equipment (maybe a little too much for the space if I’m honest) which was good. Enjoyed drinks round the pools from the bar there. Perfect location about 7 minute’s walk up a fairly steep hill. We really enjoyed our stay here and look forward to returning- thank you.

Mijas Pueblo

+ Great place to stay in Mijas Pueblo with two pools and amazing views. Really friendly staff especially bar and kitchen staff.

No AC

+ No AC in the rooms. The rooms were very uncomfortable at night due to no AC in the room. There is one AC unit in the family/kitchen room.

+ Excellent hotel. Really enjoyed our stay in Mijas

+ Great resort, very clean, the area is very nice and the staff are friendly.

Great holiday

+ Great apartment and all the facilities you need. Well equiped with everything you need for a self catering break. Negatives, Breakfast advertised is a shambles, opens at 11am which is not Breakfast time. Trees hide the pool which when you have people reserving beds gives you limited time in the sunshine. Our apartment was great but the view was two big trees 10 feet away so not great. On the other hand we didnt spend much time in the apartment. Great location and easy access to the village.

Wonderful relaxing holiday

+ We absolutely loved our stay, the apartment was equipped with everything we needed and had fantastic views of the coast from the balcony. The quaint village of Mijas Pueblo was a only a short walk away. Very friendly staff and great outdoor spaces including 2 pools one of which was described as the " quiet " pool which lived up to its description.

+ This was our 3rd visit and everything was as good as we remembered

Hotels.com incompetence!!!

+ Once again, disappointed with role of Hotel.com. Paid for top of the range apartment, as we had a couple of years ago, only to find apartment(s) offered had balcony nothing like one experienced previously, all still top of the range price was paid to Hotels.com. Resort explained descriptions used by third party was not related to their own. Balcony enjoyed previously meant sunshine virtually dawn to dusk, but available ones offered at best morning, having to chase sun to avoid pillar shadows as well as no lounge furnishings like loungers although no room, and in one instance, two metre walls on four sides! No sea view at all on apartment described as such! With full payment being paid! Have tried contacting Hotels.com directly, but having GREAT difficulty with this, and this despite approximately eight attempts by phone and half hour on abysmal attempt on chat line…..what a waste of time these are! Would appreciate Hotels.com getting in touch with me an I’ll go into more detail with someone.

+ Wonderful views, clean and well equipped apartment, helpful staff and relaxing sports facilities. We would stay again.

+ Great views and location but properties are a little tired and don't offer much in the way of modern comforts given the price.

Really Nice Aparthotel.

+ The aparthotel was nice and clean, the room was fantastic. Modern and very well equipped, with all that was neeeed. You could easily live there, full time. The public amenities, pool, restaurant & bar were only adequate, but the staff were friendly and helpful. The indoor pool, gym and sauna/steam rooms were very good.

+ Stayed in 2 bedroomed apartment which had a traditonal Spanish feel which sone may feel is dated but was lovely and very clean, it had two bathrooms, lounge, dining area and kitchen and a big balcony with table and 4 chairs, 2 Sun loungers. Kitchen had oven, hob, microwave and washing machine, there was plenty of crockery and glasses Free safe, clothes maiden, pegs, iron and ironing board everything you needed. Reception and security staff lovely and friendly and a very short walk into the beautiful town of Mijas with plenty of restaurants, shops and supermarket will definitely be back. Didn’t use the on site restaurant but meals looks nice. 2 pools are on separate floors but right underneath each other would have been better to have a kids pool on the lower floor and adults on upper as was very noisy.

+ Very well placed for the centre of Mijas Pueblo within a short walking distance to restaurants/bars. Very friendly staff and the apartment was very clean.

+ Super apartment and location for Mijas Pueblo, 25 minutes walk. Nice pools and facilities.

+ Amazing views, and a lovely spa in a quiet location but near enough the town.

Amazing views

+ Amazing views. Needs a bit of updating with living room furniture. Apartment hadn't been used in a while and was promised a clean over but didn't happen. Plenty glasses, plates and cutlery. Dishwasher and washing machine with tablets New towels through the week but not cleaned or beds changed Indoor pool great as outside pool too cold in April

+ Macdonald hotels closed down La Ermita resort at short notice and rescheduled our booking to their Dona Lola resort Not at all as we wished. Dona Lola was OK but not equal to La Ermita.

+ Good location overlooking the coast. 2 great outdoor pools. On-site Bistro through to the afternoon with friendly staff but no restaurant. Comfortable rooms with Wi-Fi and amenities Helpful and friendly reception

+ The property was immaculate and a beautiful location modern hotel room but belive some of the apartments are still being refurbished. It’s a 5/10 min walk to centre however steep hill but was fine for us the sea views were amazing staff were lovely and so helpful Loved it there

+ Overall a great little place that we thoroughly enjoyed staying at. The accommodation, pool and bar/restaurant were, whilst I would not go as far as to say excellent, was more than adequate for the price paid. Great value and we would have no hesitation returning with our two kids (5 and 9).

+ The hotel generally was lovely- very clean, well equipped apartment with a fantastic view.The staff on reception were helpful too. The bed was a little hard for us but the cleaners brought us a mattress topper as soon as we asked. The pool areas were very pleasant. It was a short climb up the hill to Mijas where there were many restaurants to choose from. Our favourite was Koko but you definitely need to book. The Indian restaurant was good too.

+ Fab hotel - loved it. Had 4 of us (all adults) in 1 apartment - very spacious, clean & incredible view from the balcony. Reception very helpful, and the 2 pools were small but absolutely fine. Gym was small but plenty of equipment in - so that was handy too. Free indoor parking was good too, although the spaces were a little tight to navigate! Overall 10/10 & would recommend to anyone.
