Perfect place to stay in Barcelona. Relaxing, welcoming, and meticulous attention to detail

+ Everything was perfect. We felt very welcomed and valued as guests by every hotel team member that we came in contact with. Transport to and from the hotel as organised by the hotel team was very efficient. The attention to detail in all aspects of our room and stay was second to none. Breakfast was delicious and served in a friendly and relaxing way. Our room was meticulously clean and very well serviced throughout our stay. Location was spot on for our needs and our room was quiet. When we arrived the manager in charge took the time to go over the area with us on a map highlighting things we might wish to see which we found to be very helpful throughout our visit. The pre-visit communication was also very good.

Staying at The Serras in Barcelona wasn’t just the best hotel experience of our Europe trip — it became one of those rare places that feels like home the moment you walk in. We’ve stayed in plenty of five‑star hotels, including some big names in Italy, but nothing came close to the warmth, care, and genuine connection we felt here. From the moment we arrived, Santiago and his team treated us like family. Not in the scripted, polished way hotels sometimes do — but in a real, human way that made every interaction feel sincere. Even when travel got a little rough, they were right there with us, steady and kind. Breakfast became one of our favorite parts of the day because of Sandra. She has this incredible ability to make you feel seen and welcomed, even in a busy room. Watching her coach Rubén — who is clearly becoming a superstar under her wing — was honestly touching. You can tell this hotel invests in people, and it shows in every detail. And then there’s the rooftop. The restaurant on the deck became our little escape — beautiful views, amazing food, and that perfect Barcelona breeze. It’s the kind of place where you linger longer than you planned because it just feels good to be there. We’ve traveled a lot, and we’ve stayed in some incredible places, but The Serras stands above them all. It’s not just a five‑star hotel — it’s a place filled with people who make you feel at home. We left already talking about when we’d come back.

Serras Barcelona is an awesome boutique hotel

+ Great boutique hotel. Very small and intimate. In Gothic quarter right across from the harbor. Excellent service and staff. Great rooftop restaurant with rooftop bar and pool. Great views of the city from there!! The breakfast was awesome every morning, Great buffet with optional hot fresh cooked food. The breakfast manager, Sandra, was awesome. Her attention to detail and excellent service was 5 star. She was fantastic and made breakfast even more enjoyable.

+ Where to begin?!? Upon our arrival, the staff opened the doors for us and we were then greeted with a cold glass of cava, a refreshing wet towel to wash our hands and face, and fresh dark chocolate. (This was just during check-in.) Our room was not ready yet, but they held our luggage, gave us a quick tour of the facility and led us to the rooftop bar. We enjoyed a nice lunch at the rooftop restaurant and then was escorted to our room. The next morning, we enjoyed a nice breakfast in the downstairs dining area and was met with the most wonderful server, Sandra. She was absolutely my favorite part of this hotel. She LOVES her job and taking care of her clients. She lovingly refers to the restaruant area as her "queendom" and it is so fitting. Our initial stay was only for two nights prior to a cruise. Once we checked-out and arrived on the ship, I realized I had left money in the safe in our room. I contacted the hotel and they had already tried to reach me to let me know about the left items. They held everything for me until our ship arrived back a week later. Once we got off the ship, I stopped to grab the items we left and of course had to see Sandra. She immediately prepared me a cup of coffee just the way I like it (so impressed she remembered after only two mornings and over a week prior). Our journey wasn't over as we traveled to Mallorca for a week before heading back home. Our trip had an unexpected change and we found ourselves back in Bardelona for an extra night, so OF COURSE, I booked us back at Serras. Upon checking in, I saw Sandra again. She literally jumped and was so excited to see us again. She jokingly asked if I had decided to move there. All of the staff at Serras Barcelona is exceptional. From the front desk, to the bar, to the the conceirge, to the attendant on the rooftop cleaning guests sunglasses - nothing was less than 5 star exceptional service. + Our stay was amazing! The staff was very attentive, friendly and very accommodating with the kids. Service, restaurant recommendations were on point. Sandra the breakfast manager was very nice, efficient always had a smile on her face and made sure we received whatever we wanted to eat. She is exceptional. This hotel is a small GEM.

Above and beyond

+ Everything about this hotel was excellent. Staff were friendly and really went above and beyond. I have to give an extra shout out to Sandra the breakfast manager. As soon as she saw us, coffee and breakfast for the kids was already on the way! She made mornings a whole lot easier! Thank you Serras for a fabulous stay.

Perfect Barcelona stay.

+ A sensational hotel. Great location by the water, excellent facilities, but the true strength of the hotel is the staff. To a person, faultless. They were attentive, engaged and nothing was too much trouble. I have stayed in many hotels that can be regarded as very good. This one makes the effort to go to the next level.

+ I chose this hotel because of the wonderful reviews and because we had an edit credit available on our Chase sapphire reserve card. The hotels service was definitely 5 stars. I am very particular when it comes to service and this place truly meets my standards. I think I’m ruined for every other hotel now because of it! We absolutely loved the location too. It was very easy to navigate the city from there. The rooms were small but very comfortable and spotless clean. We had a little hiccup because the hotel told us we could watch the World Cup there but then they gave away their cable cord to another guest. So that meant the TV couldn’t get the match. Frantic, because my kids are big soccer fans, I worked with the night manager and staff to find a way to watch it. And they came through for us. Their recovery was amazing. We lost the match unfortunately :-( but gained even more admiration for the hotel staff. Thank you Serras hotel for going above and beyond for us. I will recommend you to all our friends and family!

Our Home Away From Home

+ Our first visit to Barcelona Spain after a wedding in Tamarit. We selected Serras Barcelona as we prefer smaller luxury hotels with special touches and a great location to explore Barcelona. Our stay at Serras exceeded our expectations. The entire staff made us feel at home. We hope to return again and pick up right where we left off.

Boutique hotel in the heart of Barcelona

+ We spent two nights at Serras, and it was easily one of our best hotel experiences. The location is incredibly convenient, putting us right in the heart of everything. We traveled as a group of three, and they accommodated the extra bed seamlessly without making the room feel cramped. The rooms are highly comfortable, the bathrooms are luxurious, and the hotel itself has a fascinating history tied to Picasso. We also loved the rooftop restaurant, Informal. We met Sandra during lunch one day—she hosts both breakfast and meals there—and she was exceptionally kind and helpful to us. Thank you to a wonderful staff for making Barcelona memorable.

+ Don’t stay here if you want to sleep. The hotel has a nightclub or party venue on the roof with a DJ that plays until midnight, with screaming and shouting. Impossible to sleep and staff don’t care.

Expectations were high

+ The Serras team exceeded my expectations in the most comforting ways. Effusively polite and courteous, the small niceties that us midwesterners will typically forgo enhanced everything from our impromptu rooftop dinner to the elevator rides. And while breakfast can be seen by many as a necessity - fuel up and strategize the happenings of the day, Sandra sees this as the time that will set the tone for the day. After five minutes on day one, while I thought I knew what I wanted, she knew what each of us needed. Visually, the exterior is so lovely as to appear a facade, until you notice the marina’s reflection its windows. The lobby comforting. The rooms are quite well designed and perfectly apportioned. The location is perfecting for those who wander, yet the rooms were remarkably peaceful. It would be difficult to consider any other property when I next visit Barcelona. Thank you all for taking such wonderful care of my family.

Extraordinary Service

+ We stayed in a deluxe room for 3 nights. The location of the hotel is superb, with easy walking to the subway terminal, Mercat de la Boqueria (amazing!), La Rambla, Museu Picasso, and the wharf area. Taxi availability was excellent, with short rides to the Sangrada Familia and Park Guell. The room itself was very good, with excellent temperature control, bed comfort, closet space, Nespresso machine, minibar, and abundant free water. The bathroom was nice with a large rain shower. The daily breakfast was outstanding. All of that was very nice and what we expected from our research. However, what makes this hotel special is the unbelievable service, eclipsing that of some of the finest hotels in the world. They greeted us in our room with a bottle of champagne and a nice welcome letter, daily sweet treats, and a nice little cake for my birthday. Every staff member remembered our names from day 1, opened doors, made dinner or event reservations with even a hint of interest from us, arranged a taxi to the airport at 3:30 am, offered a wake up call, and walked us out to the taxi with our luggage for safety given the untimely hour. They even made little boxed breakfasts and coffee to take with us to the airport since we were leaving before breakfast service (without us requesting). In short, they anticipated our needs and made us feel like any request would be done immediately and with a smile. It was simply one of the most pleasant experiences at a hotel I have ever had, and we will certainly return.

Boutique Hotel in Barcelona

+ Hotel Serras is a truly lovely boutique hotel with a nice water view. We arrived very early and the team went out of their way to have our room prepared before 11am. We had one dinner at the hotel and it was excellent. We spent three nights here and breakfast was always delicious. They had a wide assortment of items and you could also order a hot dish. We especially enjoyed spending time on the outdoor terrace in the bar area. Hotel Serras delivered comfort, boutique style and made us comfortable from the start to finish during our three night visit. We look forward to staying at this hotel on our next visit to Barcelona.

Truly a 5-star Experience

+ Truly a 5-star experience! Our favorite stay of a 3-week Portugal, Spain, Italy trip. Every staff interaction was outstanding; from laundry to breakfast to concierge to bar; everyone was personable and friendly. A few examples are Alex during our very late night check-in who laid the foundation of hospitable and welcoming, then Sandra, the amazingly friendly breakfast manager who made sure we received fresh fruit plate and a perfect cortadito. Rooftop bar staff ensured we had lovely sunset tapas and cocktails. Staff at the front was exceptionally proactive to open doors, take luggage, provide water, or hail a cab. The buffet breakfast spread was not only aesthetically appealing, but absolutely delicious. Best daily breakfast at a hotel we’ve experienced. The room was spacious and inviting, with an incredibly comfortable bed and very quiet despite being street-facing. Common areas were luxuriously intimate but also inviting. Easily walkable everywhere we needed to go. Our entire 3 night stay was a DREAM! We were sad to leave.

Absolutely. Impeccably. Perfect!

+ From the moment we entered Serras it felt like home, the staff were all unbelievable and couldn’t do enough for us. It was nicely decorated and styled, beautiful view from the rooftop terrace, fresh cold towels and champagne brought to us on arrival. Lovely big rooms with GREAT air con system, separate shower cubicle and toilet with two sinks and areas for a couple. The bed was comfy, the towels were extra large, our room was turned down each night with a little cake, slippers and dressing gowns. Carla and every one of her team is absolutely outstanding and gave superb customer service. They made the effort for my Fiancé’s birthday putting champagne, a cake and birthday card in the room. The location is close to the marina which is lovely if you want to take a slow walk and view the yachts and sunset. The gentleman on reception I nicknamed ‘El Comida Hombre’ (The Food Man) gave us brilliant recommendations for authentic and home cooked Spanish food. One of the days I didn’t feel too well and was brought water and a cold fresh Coca Cola without asking. Everyone of the staff took the time to treat us like royalty and we genuinely wouldn’t stay anywhere in Barcelona! In fact …. Just pick the whole hotel and staff up and drop them off at our next holiday destination!! THANK YOU SERRAS for giving us an amazing three day break 😊

Outstanding Stay - Truly One of the Best Hotels Ever!

+ We recently stayed at Serras Hotel in Barcelona, and it is hands down one of the best hotels we have ever experienced. The location is absolutely perfect, but what truly sets this hotel apart is its top-notch service. Every single staff member we encountered went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.A huge shoutout to Joao at the front desk. He went out of his way to walk us through the city map, recommend some fantastic local restaurants, and coordinate our room turnaround so we could enjoy a seamless early check-in.We also loved Sandra, who took incredible care of us during the morning breakfast service. She was incredibly warm and nice. On our last day, when we were rushing off to the airport, she even packed us breakfast to go so we wouldn't miss a meal.Up on the roof, Omar the bartender took excellent care of us with his amazing rooftop cocktails and fantastic hospitality.Our room itself was great, comfortable, and beautifully appointed. They left lovely amenities for us, including a mini Barça soccer ball that our son absolutely cherished. As an added bonus, if you have an American Express card, you can enjoy many extra perks during your stay here.We cannot recommend Serras Hotel enough and cannot wait to return!

Gift to our family - perfect in every way!

+ Hotel location, accommodations and service were outrageously good. Our multi generational family, including 2 under 3, marveled at the way staff made us feel at home and brought joy to every experience. Walkable to the port, the beach, the gothic quarter, the born, La rambla, and so many galleries, museums, and restaurants. A special shoutout to the breakfast manager, Sandra, who befriended our youngest guests and made the whole stay incredibly family centric and special. We will miss you!! Highly recommend Serras Barcelona.

+ Our 6 night stay at Serras Barcelona was perfect. It is located just across the street from Port Olympic and it was a short walk to many great restaurants. It was a short taxi ride to all of the major sites in Barcelona. Our room was a Deluxe room that was very comfortable and clean at all times. The service at the reception desks, restaurants, and the rooftop bar and pool area was outstanding. Our server, Sandra, was the best, she took great care of us every morning for breakfast. It was a great experience and this hotel is first class all the way.

+ Serras Barcelona is a terrific small hotel ideally located in Barcelona. I can’t say enough good things about the service we experienced. Every member of their team was warm and helpful. We have to mention Sandra the breakfast manger. She was extremely intuitive and caring greeted us every morning. She definitely helped us to get every day off to a great start. Diego was also an incredible resource for helping us plan and coordinate. Everyone was terrific. The rooms are well appointed, clean and quiet The beds are very comfortable. They think of everything and stayed one step ahead of us with our needs. So happy we chose to stay with them.

Wonderful Experience

+ We recently stayed at The Serras for seven wonderful days. The hotel is superb, in both layout and comfort. From the moment we arrived and until we departed, we were treated graciously by every member of the staff. The staff at the front were all terrific, especially Santiago who somehow remembered so many things about us. I wish I remembered everyone's names so I could call them out individually, but every single one was just great! Our room was very comfortable and we felt at home during our stay. Our room faced towards the water and we enjoyed the views whenever we were there. We were celebrating our first wedding anniversary and were given a nice treat and note welcoming and congratulating us. So thoughful! We took advantage of the breakfast every morning, which had a nice selection of cooked entrees and buffet items. Sandra was wonderful and she not only had us starting the day with a tasty breakfast, but also put smiles on our faces every day we saw her. We are so glad were we able to see her on our last day to say our "so longs." Last, the location of the Serras was perfect for us. With a week to explore Barcelona, we felt it was the perfect location for us to start each adventure! I can't recommend The Serras enough to anyone looking for a special stay and experience in Barcelona. Our next trip to Barcelona will definitely see us staying at The Serras.

Sitting above Port Vell with a drink in hand as the city softens into evening was one of the highlights of the entire Barcelona trip. Thoughtful, fresh, beautifully presented, and genuinely memorable rather than the generic luxury hotel buffet experience. The attention to detail across the food offering mirrors the hotel itself. (Passport & Palmtree) What truly elevates Serras, though, is the feeling it creates. So many luxury hotels focus on appearance while forgetting comfort and emotional experience. Serras somehow manages to feel stylish, intimate, calm, and deeply welcoming all at once. Quite honestly one of the finest city hotels I have stayed in anywhere in Europe.

Amazing Service

+ We stayed here for a few nights in November and had such a wonderful experience. The service was exceptional, every staff member was incredibly attentive, welcoming, and genuinely cared about making our stay memorable. They actually ran to the store to get stain remover so I could save one of my favorite shirts. That level of care and hospitality is rare to find. If you’re visiting Barcelona, this hotel is an absolute must stay.

Exceptionally Good Stay

+ We recently stayed at Serras Barceona for a couple of nights, and we loved it! It was an exceptional experience. The whole package stands out as one of the best in many decades of business and personal travel: super attentive staff, well organized hotel, clean facilities, good food, a welcome with a bottle of cava, helpful concierge services, ... the list goes on. While all staff were very helpful and pleasant, Sandra -- the breakfast manager - deserves a special mention as a warm and welcoming person who took care of us so well! We will be back for sure.
