Amazing, highly recommended.

+ House is amazing! You arrive and are met by Pedro who gives you a tour or the house (and some bonus historical information). From the pictures the layout can be a bit confusing but it’s essentially split into two levels. As you walk in you’ll have two bedrooms opposite each other up some steps to the left. Straight in front of you you’ll have the kitchen/lounge room (which also has a bathroom with a shower). Also on this first level is the pool, the huge outside kitchen area and several seating areas. On the upper level you have four more bedrooms and the playroom / entertainment room. Note that two of the bedrooms have a shared bathroom whilst the others have an ensuite. Every room has aircon and fans. Everything is cleaned and well stocked. Perfect for big and extended families.

− Not really a negative but you’re in quite a remote location and it’s not really walkable to any town in the heat (being in a remote place also has is positives!) Very easy access to the main road that takes you to the airport, the capital and south of the island. The final drive up to the property can be a bit tight but fine if you’re a proficient driver (I was driving a 9 seater!)

Schönes Landhaus in ruhiger Lage mit tollem Pool

+ Die Villa Atlantida liegt ruhig am Ende einer Sackgasse direkt am Barranco de Guayadeque mit einem schönen Blick auf den Barranco und die benachbarte Stadt Agüimes. Man benötigt zwingend einen Mietwagen, der bei den schmalen Zufahrtsstrassen nicht zu gross sein sollte. Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und liebevoll stimmig dekoriert, es gibt blühende Pflanzen und Orangen- sowie Zitronenbäume auf dem Grundstück. Der Patio mit dem kleinen Springbrunnen im oberen Bereich bietet zusätzliche Sitzmöglichkeiten unter schönen blühenden Pflanzen. Abends ist der Garten stimmungsvoll mit Lichterketten und zahlreichen farbigen Lampen dekoriert. Ein Highlight ist der 28 Grad warme grosse Swimmingpool, an dem man entspannte Tage verbringen kann, bevor man in der Hollywoodschaukel den Sonnenuntergang geniesst. Die Küche ist groß und gut ausgestattet, die Zimmer rustikal gemütlich eingerichtet. Es gibt Bücher, Gesellschaftspiele und eine Musikanlage. Der zuvorkommende Gastgeber Pedro kümmert sich liebevoll um die Anlage und hat uns freundlich bei der Ankunft empfangen und alles erklärt. Es hat uns sehr gut in der Villa Atlantida gefallen und wir kommen gerne wieder! Vielen Dank an Pedro und seine Familie für dieses Kleinod auf Gran Canaria!

− Ein paar Kuscheldecken, um die kühlen Abende im Januar draussen gemütlich zu geniessen wären noch toll, ansonsten hatten wir wirklich nichts auszusetzen!

Sensational villa!

+ The villa looks incredible on the photos, but somehow they still don’t do it justice. The whole place is just stunning, we loved it so much and couldn’t quite believe we were staying there! It’s all great, but special mention to the beautiful garden area upstairs, the wonderful heated pool, and most of all the kindness of Pedro as our host - he brought us freshly baked bread on our last day, and even gave us a late check out. The perfect host for the perfect villa, love it love it love it!
