You could hear a pin drop!

We really enjoyed this hotel very much. The grounds were wonderful as was the pool. The staff could not have been nicer and the food was excellent. Above all you could hear a pin drop and that is what makes for a relaxing time.

Very nice stay!!

I really enjoyed the Place. Just what I needed quiet and very relaxing. Lovely family owned hotel. and still things to do and visit around (beach on foot 5mn, Soller by bus 20mn). To get to with the bus direct from Palma main bus station (around an hour), This hotel was recommended to me in Palma by anorher traveller. The rooms were very clean (wirh service very day if you want to) and comfortable, the sea view room, amazing! Nice Pool, staff was very friendly and competent. The bar had Local village wine, gin and brandy von Mallorca. The breakfast hat lots of variety hot and cold, freshly made. I had dinner there and it was really delicious (see photos). The meal is to be had putside on the terrace or inside. Amazing sunset! Overall, please come and try it out :) thank you to the staff

Very friendly hotel!

Wonderful Easter holiday at Sa Coma hotel! Family driven hotel, fabulous staff, both reception, bar, breakfast and dinner staff - everybody was always smiling and very helpful! The room has a good 3star standard, don’t expect 4stars. Highlight is the breathtaking 180 degree seaview, almost all rooms have this view, including a stunning sunset at 20.15. There is a new TV in the room incl Netflix, a fridge, water boiler, good wifi, For my husband the bed was a bit too hard, but I slept like a rock! Breakfast buffet was lovely, they make you eggs/omelette/sausages etc freshly. Fruit, smoothie, Spanish ham etc etc. You can have a 2 or 3 course dinner at the hotel (breakfast room) between 7 and 9pm, nice view, each course had 3 choices. € 19 for 2courses, € 24 for 3 courses. Good food, meat/fish/veggie. We went there for a hiking holiday, without a rental car: the táxi from Palma airport was € 55. There are lovely hikes in the area, 2/3/4/5 hour length. The hotel is halfway between the sea and the village, and it is very steep in both directions.

Fantastisk ophold

In love with this hotel

What a sweet small family hotel! I booked 2 nights and than decided to stay my entire vacation. Hotel is run by a family and they are extremly helpful and sweet and kind. I am not used for so much care as a guest even at my own mom's house. I love the interior, because it has an atmosphere of older classical spanish sea-side home and I also loved the GARDEN extremly, you can hang around swimming pool and hide under beuatiful palms and other gardening amusements. I felt really good at this hotel and the owners, who were always available and loving, spoke really good english (which I find as a miracle at Spain area:) I appreciate silnece and close distance to beach, which is more for snorcheling enthusiasts as I am, but also I would let kids in with googles and vests/inflatables, when the waves are not big. The swimming pool also has area for small kids.

Tre dagar i Banyalbufar

We stayed a week at this family-run hotel. Decent and clean rooms with nice views at the sea. Excellent breakfast and dinner with variety. Very friendly service. Swimming pool area allows discretion for the different guests. Only remark is that you have to buy the towels at EUR 12 each which makes non sense

Shabby and outdated room, unfriendly reception, so expensive for what it is

Overall, seriously regret choosing this hotel... Upon check in, blonde reception lady was so unwelcoming and every time we asked something she was rather rude and unprofessional. No sign of family running hotel's warm welcome anywhere. Weird pre-assigned seat system. breakfast room atmosphere very uninviting and menu was also very basic and same everyday. fruits in Spain are so cheap, although the only fruit in breakfast is melon. Is it worth paying so much in the end? No. It was high season so room was quite pricey and it was such a ripoff considering what they provided. I have NEVER seen such a basic and unattractive room, feel like being in 1 star hotel perhaps. there is hardly nothing else in the room, only bed, wardrobe, desk. That means there is no even Television. In the bathroom, cheap shower gel, dirty old shower curtain really put me off. I chose this hotel based on the positive reviews and the location, but I really wish I had chosen another hotel...

Like a part of the owner Family

Very nice hotel. Fantastick location with the sea almost in the bed, was the feeling. Big balconys.Good beds, very warm and friendly atmosphere in the welcoming hands of the owner family. Very good breakfast with a omelet/egg cook making what ever you fancy. Homemade bakery. Very wel kept and clean pool area. Many very good restaurents in the Village. Many fine walks in the shade along the sea or up the hils.recomend the local bodega just out og town heading south. Recomend the beach in Estellence 7 km south. (buses goes there) They have beach restaurents etc. The local beach hasent, but is okay. Look for Medusas though. Free tennis court.

This hotel gives you "a peaceful easy feeling"!

3rd visit, (which made us very much in the minority, so many families return year after year) fantastic little hotel. the Tomas family who run the place are such fantastic hosts. Great breakfast choices including "full English" cooked to order if that is your preference. Excellent evening meal with a choice for each of 4 courses. Great pool and leafy garden shade. Tennis, 300 yards to (stoney) beach for great snorkelling. The best thing of all .. the views from the bedroom balconies and magical sunsets,

Simply wonderful - so relaxing

we have just returned from a 2 week holiday at the Sa Coma Hotel, Banyalbufar, Mallorca. - FANTASTIC. The hotel is run the by the Tomas family - they were absolutely wonderful, and so helpful. It was a pleasure being at their Hotel. The hotel is West facing so you can see the sunset from your room, the lounge, the terrace, and the restaurant every day. You wake up on a morning, open your curtains, to a wonderful view of the se. It is breath taking lying in bed looking out at the view. The hotel is an ideal base if you are a walker or a cyclist or just looking for a purely relaxing holiday. We were full board and you would have to be really really picky not to enjoy the wonderful food at breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is a continental buffet with a choice of freshly fired omelettes. You can grill your own bacon and sausage if you so wish. Your chose your dinner options at breakfast from a set menu. There were always 2 options per course. There were 4 courses in total. All of the food was delicious and authentic. You need to be mobile as the Hotel is accessed via a steep road that you have to walk up in order to get in to the small village. There a several café/restaurants in the village. We used Belle Vista (great terrace views), 1661, and Son Tomas. All were excellent. Palma is 50 minute bus journey away that costs €3.10 per person each way. The service was prompt and easy to use. You are dropped right in the centre of Palma at the purpose built transport centre. From there you can get anyway on the Island. If you do intend to travel I would suggest a car. We did not hire a car. We did two of the well sign posted walks. They were at times over challenging terrain so you need good footwear. We were never board just relaxed, probably the most relaxed I have ever been on a holiday. There was no TV at all. It was so tranquil a TV would have spoilt the experience, We never missed it for the full fortnight. Wi-Fi is good and is free. Drink prices are quite reas

Possibly not the best choice for everyone but perfect for us

If you go to Mallorca primarily to swim in the Mediterranean, Banyalbufar is not for you. Even if the SaComa is probably the closest hotel, the “beach” is a short stretch of pebbles and rocks, accessible (barely, and both of us are reasonably fit without being exerciseoholics) via a steep decent and an even steeper climb back up (don’t know quite how that works, but your body tells you it does). And if your idea if a nice evening out is a night club and/or a sports bar with a big screen TV, forget it. Night life in Banyalbufar is nonexistent, apart from the restaurants. But if you enjoy the peace and quiet of a small town with just some 500 permanent residents and a hotel with just 30 rooms, most of them overlooking the sea, Sa Coma may be just what you’re looking for. Especially if, like we do, you consider it a plus not to have to listen to your next door neighbor’s TV blasting away when you try to go to sleep – the rooms don’t have TV’s and we suspect this is intentional. SaComa shows all the signs of a very well managed family hotel, upgrading at a steady pace as demands rise and money rolls in. When we were there, they seemed to be preparing to install keycard locks on the doors, but had only gotten to mounting the card operated light switch on the wall beside the door, luckily not yet in operation (we understand the energy saving point behind them, but they’re still a nuisance). If your idea of a cozy hotel room is Marriot style, SaComa may not be quite to your liking, but our room was very functional in a rustic, rural style. The cleaning is absolutely impeccable. Every afternoon when we came back from our various excursions our room looked as pristine as the night we arrived, including the bathroom. The breakfast buffet is not huge, but very nice and varied; with the extra bonus of Catalina frying your choice of omelet or eggs to order while you prepare your own bacon or sausages on the huge gas barbeque. If you order at breakfast, you can have a four-cours

Was wonderful being back to the Sa Coma which is a family run hotel and they are so friendly and accommodating. It's magical to sit on the terrace with wonderful views overlooking the sea. Peaceful location with stunning sunsets

We stayed at Sa Coma in July 2016. After a difficult year we wanted a quiet, relaxing holiday where we could rest and recuperate and we were not disappointed. Sa coma is situated in a small town by the coast. We had a sea view room which was perfect for watching the breath taking sunsets from our balcony. The most important point I should make is the hotel is half way down a steep hill. If you are unsteady on your feet or you find it difficult to climb hills this is not for you (if you are walking) you can drive to and from the hotel though if you have a car. More on the roads later!  The hotel offers an excellent breakfast, catering for all tastes and dietary requirements. At lunch there is a small range of salads but this is only available between 1.30 – 2.30pm and is restricted to these times. The hotel offers a different dinner menu each day. We ate here on 3 of the nights and in the town at various restaurants the rest of the week. The menu is given to you at breakfast, if you want to eat in the hotel, you complete your menu choices and if not you leave it blank. When eating at the hotel if you order bottles of soft drinks or wine this is kept for you and brought out onto your table when requested so you don’t have to drink a bottle in one go! We asked when we arrived if you sat at the same table each day as we had read on trip advisor that this was the case, we were told that you could choose where you sat, this was not true we were told to sit at the same table each day by the restaurant staff. The room was clean and tidy. The bed mattresses were a little unforgiving for my husband who suffers with his back but I found the pillows the worse but to be fair to the hotel I didn’t complain and I’m sure they would have changed the pillows if I had as they were so nice. The towels were like sand paper but the shower was good, the air conditioning was heaven, there were generous size wardrobes and plenty of draws for storage, a safety deposit box and th

Peaceful location, good snorkelling in the bay

We recently stayed 4 nights in a room with beautiful sea and sunset views. The hotel and decor is traditional, breakfast is good and evening meal fine but it was nice to eat out sometimes for something a bit special. The pool is a reasonable size but beware no pool towels are provided. Beds were on the hard side and room towels had seen better days. No problem finding sun loungers at any time. Most days we went down the steep hill to the rocky/pebbly bay below. It was lovely for swimming and the snorkelling on both sides was good with clear and mainly calm water - various wrasse, bream, anemones, crabs. I did get stung by a jellyfish but it wasn't bad and I think I was just unlucky. We would recommend this hotel.

Beautiful and tranquil

Sa Coma hotel sitting beautifully on the hillside below the main road and the few shops and restaurants of picturesque Banyalbufar is a delight. Good old fashioned service is delivered by the family and staff with a smile. The lounge and bar area is bright clean and fresh and perfect to watch the sea or gaze as the sun slides out of view creating wonderful colours. Many of the rooms have this view also but we opted for the mountain vista at the rear of the hotel. One major asset of the hotel is the car park attached as the streets within the village are narrow with limited parking places. The steepness of the road leading to the hotel could put some less able bodied people off but because we enjoy hill walking this was not an issue to us although it does take some getting used to for driving up and down. This obviously does not put everybody off because their clients return to visit again.

Great place. Amazing views.

This hotel practically on a cliff, so the views to the sea are fantastic. Banyabufar is a small quiet village. This hotel is a very good choice: nice rooms, swimming pool, very good breakfast, etc... It's a family run business, and you can tell it in the very good service. The price is fine.

A perfect family run small hotel in the best place in Majorca!

I have visited this hotel before - and again, it lives up to its reputation. Spotlessly clean, quiet, in a beautiful unspoilt location, it is a little piece of heaven! There is a lovely swimming pool, tennis courts and spacious gardens. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and all have balconies - we had a sea view, just amazing! Delicious food in the restaurant - again with sea views, we have been really spoilt!
