It was excellent choice I would select the hotel again.

+ I loved the location, it was in the city centre and we felt very safe there. The rooms were smaller (hey it is Barcelona) but very clean and met all our needs. Bonus was that tea, coffee and some snacks were available whole time. Especially the water. And there was amazing amazing ice cream shop next door.

+ The “hotel” is situated on a nice, tranquile street close to the main cultural sites.

− The hotel is not a hotel. The receptio is not opened 24/7 and the premises are just made of a huge flat/flats in an apartment building. The mannor of serving the breakfast and the overall impression is that this is just a B&B. The towels don’t absorb the moist after shower. Not made of 100% cotton. Very uncomfortable!!!!!!!!

+ Die Lage der Unterkunft ist einwandfrei und geht nicht besser. In den Betten haben wir sehr gut geschlafen und es war alles sauber. Die Kommunikation mit den Inhabern hat sehr funktioniert.. Gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis.

− Leider hatten wir ein Zimmer mit nur einem kleinem Fenster. Die Pflanzen im Außenbereich müssten mehr gepflegt werden, d.h. vertrocknete Blätter entfernen.Ebenso müssten die Tische draußen Mal nachgezogen werden, diese wackeln sehr, dadurch ist das Frühstücken etwas schwierig. Das Frühstück war sehr minimalistisch.

We stayed at CIEN Hotel in Barcelona for three nights, and I honestly feel it deserves so much more recognition than its official one-star rating might suggest. If the rating makes you hesitate — don’t let it. This hotel was absolutely excellent. The service was 10/10, the kindness and hospitality were 10/10, and the room and cleanliness were also 10/10. The location is fantastic — very close to the Eixample area and Barcelona’s main shopping streets, while still being on a relatively quiet street, which made it much more pleasant to relax and sleep, especially in the mornings. There is also a lovely café just downstairs, which was such a great bonus. Finally, genuinely good coffee instead of weak, watery coffee! The tuna sandwich was fresh, crisp, clean and delicious. One of the things that impressed me most was the personal service. Communication with the hotel staff was mainly through WhatsApp, and every interaction was incredibly friendly, helpful and efficient. One day while we were out walking, my legs became quite swollen. I simply messaged the hotel to ask whether they had some ice that I could use when we returned. Without me even asking, one of the staff members went above and beyond and prepared and froze bags of ice for me so they would be ready when I got back. Such a thoughtful gesture may seem small, but it truly warmed my heart and says so much about the level of care and hospitality here. We stayed at another hotel during the same trip, so we definitely had something to compare it with in terms of service, friendliness, comfort and location — and in our opinion, CIEN wins by 200%. We would happily stay here again and would recommend it wholeheartedly. Thank you to the wonderful CIEN team for making our stay so pleasant and memorable! ❤️

Kedves, hangulatos, intim hely, kedves személyzettel, a legjobb és biztonságos környéken.

+ Hangulatos volt a szoba és a szálloda is. Nagyon kedves volt a személyzet. Az indulásunk napján őrizték estig a bőröndöt és lehetett pihenni is indulás előtt a lobby-ban. Finom volt a reggeli is és egész nap lehetett inni kávét teát.

− Légkondi időnként kikapcsolt, de amúgy kellemes hőmérsékletet csinált.

+ Locatie was top, de douche is geweldig. Klein knus hotel met alle faciliteiten. De kleine binnenplaats was ook fijn.

+ Very comfortable bed. Virtual check in is very convenient when you have to do a late check in. The breakfast was good. The staff was very nice.

− Water wasn't draining properly from the shower tray. "It would be better to have single-serve portions for jam, Nutella, and spreads. It would be more hygienic than sharing jars with the guests.

Hyggeligste hotel i Barcelone med hjælpsomt personale og forfriskninger hele døgnet.

+ Ganske sødt personale og meget villige til at hjælpe. Man kunne tage koldt, filtreret vand og godter fra morgenmadsområdet hele døgnet. Småt og hyggeligt og perfekt kontrast til byen.

+ Sehr freundliches Personal. Die Lage ist perfekt. Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel leicht zu erreichen. Die Zimmer sind ruhig, wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. Beim Frühstück ist alles vorhanden was auch wirklich gut geschmeckt hat.

A very nice place to start your trip in Barcelona

+ The room was small as is common in Europe, but never felt cramped. Our room had a very comfortable queen sized bed with great pillows, a standing shower and a separate bathroom. It was a front-facing room with a small balcony that overlooked the pedestrian street. Even though it was a fairly busy street, there was never a noise problem and we were able to sleep very well. The hotel is in a great location within walking distance to several points of interest and plenty of stores and restaurants to choose from. The hotel offers breakfast with plenty of choices which was quite nice. The hotel staff are very friendly and very attentive, we were never disappointed nor left guessing. Definitely plan to stay there next time we visit Barcelona!

+ Habitación con balcón muy recordable, me encantó la ducha y las vistas al exterior. Muy limpio y cómodo el desayuno increíble así como el personal ayuda con todo y está atento. Ubicación muy bien ya que tiene cerca muchas tiendas y restaurantes.

Perfect start to the perfect Barcelona visit

+ Check in and out was so easy and all the waitstaff were kind and helpful. It was helpful that they spoke English as well. The location was perfect for exploring the city and there were plenty of places to eat right on the same street. Breakfast was wonderful too, with may options. It was the perfect cozy place to stay for my husband and I.

− When we first arrived it would have been helpful to know how to get to the front desk or what the front of the building looks like.

+ La situation très bien, comme prévu. Lit confortable. Climatisation fonctionnelle. Salle de déjeuner avec fleurs au jardin. Le personnel est accueillant et discret.

− Le balcon fait 50cm de large. Inutilisable. L'evier se trouve dans le wc et c'est très petit. La climnatisation fonctionne, mais elle sent mauvais. La chambre est très petite, mais surtout, il n'y a presque rien pour ranger deux grandes valises. Pas une seule fois un changement des serviettes. La grande vitre de la douche, directement vers la chambre... pas apprécié par les dames. Accès/acceuil compliqué avec marches, petit ascenseur, plusieurs clefs. Les déjeuners sont bien côtés ? Nous avons trouvé cela minimum (café médiocre). Les photos sont très trompeuses par rapport à l'espace. Pour un mini-trip romantique, j'ai déçu mon élue. Cela ne correspond pas à l'idée que l'on se fait des lieux en regardant les images sur le Net.
