Cocroaches when entering the apartment

− When we entred the apartment we found cockroaches. I took a picture of one of them. Contacted the owned. She said she would come in 40 minutes and clean the room for us. We refused to stay in that apartment. After contacting the costumer service she said the picture was not from interior. She refused any refund. Not a great experience.

− Le hace falta una reforma al baño y no tiene buen ventilador o aire acondicionado en el dormitorio. El armario empotrado del dormitorio huele a humedad

+ Ou apt was amazing, on the beach we could see the sea from sitting room window & the beautiful balcony, warm inside even in December, very comfortable bed & clean. We cooked in kitchen has enough to self cater

− - principalmente la cama, extremadamente blanda y nuestras espaldas lo sufrieron. - El apartamento es antiguo, en una urbanización antigua y le hace falta una limpieza a fondo, reformas y cambio de ropa de casa.

Problemas graves con el sofá cama y la propietaria

− Reservamos este alojamiento confiando en las fotos y descripciones de Booking, pero desde la primera noche nos encontramos con un sofá cama en muy mal estado, incómodo e inutilizable para dormir. Al comunicarle el problema a la propietaria, lejos de ofrecernos una solución, nos acusó directamente de haberlo roto, sin pruebas, ni voluntad de diálogo. Al revisar las opiniones de otros huéspedes, descubrimos que varias personas ya habían denunciado el mal estado del sofá y de la cama, lo cual demuestra que el problema es previo. Cuando se lo señalamos, la respuesta fue una actitud intimidante, amenazando con presentarse en el alojamiento para "valorar daños", lo cual me hizo sentir insegura, especialmente al estar con una niña pequeña. Considero que el alojamiento no cumple las condiciones de calidad ni de seguridad mínimas. No lo recomiendo, ni por el estado de los muebles ni por el trato recibido. Booking debería revisar este anuncio para proteger a otros usuarios.

Small, comfortable villa up from beach

+ Nice unit with balcony and kitchen. Just up from beach and easy enough to walk back into centre of Cotillo.

− Host had not seen that we had booked so took quite a while to find the place and then the actual unit and key. Internet was not working when we arrived (it is actually from neighbouring unit) so that took quite a while to sort out and was a nuisance for us. Host managed to get it sorted but was next day and a bit complicated. Other than that place was fine if a little pricey.

Peace and Quiet Paradise.

+ Fabulous apartment in a great location. Right close to the beach. Perfect for sitting on the balcony and watching the sunset with a glass of wine. The apartment has all you need: comfy bed, Good shower and fast Wi-Fi connection. We loved it and will be staying again. Highly recommended. The owner also popped in to see if we needed anything. A very nice touch.

− If I had to find anything it would be to suggest perhaps a draining board would be an asset.

Nice apartment on the beach of El Cotillo

+ Amazing location right on the beach in El Cotillo. The closest restaurants a few minutes walking, more restaurants are 10-15 mins walking distance. Spar and Superdino in the area very well equipped for daily shopping. The beach is calm and not too crowded although mainly occupied by families with kids. Beautiful view from the terrace (two plastic chairs, umbrella and a table at your disposal).

− The accommodation is quite old and especially the bathroom could use some renovation. The kitchen is not very well equipped, for example wine opener was missing. The towels are are quite used. You need to bring your own beach towels and eg. shampoo.

A lovely little apartment on a beautiful beach

+ The apartment was in a lovely location on the beach. It was in a complex that was mainly residential, this meant it felt like home, rather than a holiday apartment. The beautiful beach was right on the doorstep and shops and restaurants were just a few minutes walk away. We really appreciated the late check out which meant we could spend the whole final day on the beach before our late night flight.

− We stayed for 10 days and in that time we didn't have any housekeeping, cleaning or change of towels etc. There was a washing machine so we could wash our towels etc. I think if you're staying 4 nights it wouldn't be an issue, but 10 nights is a long time to not have any cleaning etc

I will be back! Loved the apartment.

+ I am famliar with the area ..been there many times before , so its perfect for a relaxing break , by the Sea..

− Nothing , was all good for me ..barking dogs next door sometimes ..but it wasnt too bad ..l travel always with earplugs

+ Comfortable apartment almost on the beach (about a 20 metre walk) no roads to cross. great views from pleasant terrace including sunset. Just on the edge of town so quiet but near enough to bars and restaurants etc.

− We were able to check in an hour late. It surely can happen in August but I found the lack of communication from the property manager. If I were running late for whatever reason I would put a piece of fruit or a bottle of wine to make up for my delay...Something nice goes a long way. The other thing is I would have the place cleaned thoroughly
