Convenient location, nice room, secure parking

+ Convenient location, close to the centre, as we only had a stopover on the way to the Shuttle. Nice room, good secure parking behind the hotel for the motorcycle. Bit confused by the arrangement, as there was nobody there in the morning and I hadn't paid. My card was charged somehow, despite the fact that Booking.com said payment was direct to the hotel. Anyway, it all worked out!

+ Questo hotel ha tutto quello che interessa a noi: si trova in centro ma davanti a un posteggio comodo (non sempre libero pero si trova posto abbastanza facilmente), le camere sono pulite e il letto comodo, il personale cordiale, il rapporto qualità-prezzo ottimo. La prima impressione non è delle migliori perché la struttura è in fase di rinnovamento, scale, reception e altre parti, però di sicuro lo consiglieremmo.

− Avremmo dovuto chiedere delle salviette in più - non ci abbiamo pensato - perché forniscono solo un telo a testa.

Petite étape agréable avant de prendre le ferry

+ Petit immeuble ancien en cours de rénovation complète, décoration charmante. Propre et confortable. Situation centrale. Pas de petit déjeuner, mais possibilité de se préparer un café ou un thé. Rapport qualité prix imbattable.

Give it a try - save some money compared to others and use the savings for the evening meal !

+ Was a third visit and whilst not a gem it does the job for budget conscious and is well located for the main high street. In particular the restaurant L’Annciene

Super clean and slightly quirky!

+ Easy to find, close to the restaurants (it’s in the centre of Calais). Super easy parking outside and the option of private parking for a reasonable price (€6). Quirky place which I think is being renovated and will just get better and better over time.

− My dad could not find the additional bedding in his room and so was cold overnight. We found the blankets no problem!

Altes Hotel mit Charme

+ Lage am Park, kostenloses parken vor dem Hotel, sehr sauber, alter Charme aber schön renoviert und ruhig, sehr netter Besitzer, um die Ecke Supermarkt, Café und Pubs. Im Aufenthaltsraum Kaffeemaschine plus Kaffeepulver! Wir kommen wieder!

Il signor Benoit è molto gentile e disponibile. Il prezzo è molto onesto

+ Zentrale, sehr ruhige Lage, Sehenswürdigkeiten und Lokale zu Fuß erreichbar. Nähe zum Fährterminal. Hübscher Park gegenüber. Parkplätze kostenfrei an der Straße. Kühlschrank(kein Gefrierfach), Wasserkocher und Mikrowelle im 2.Stock. Sehr netter, hilfsbereiter Besitzer.

Good option for a short stay at the beginning of our road trip. Excellent communications.

+ Excellent communications ever since we booked made this a very easy stay. It's got everything we needed to stay after arriving late in the evening from the UK and before driving deep into Europe. No breakfast but plenty of cafes in the area.

− It was very hot, so aircon would have been very much appreciated.

+ Prima locatie met uitzicht op een mooi park. We kregen de keuze uit twee kamers. Benoit is heel vriendelijk. Privé parking.

Uitstekende keuze voor een kort verblijf in Calais.

+ Benoit is een perfecte gastheer. De ontvangst was zeer verwelkomend. Het hotel ligt op een prima locatie, aan de rand van het oude centrum. Perfect om Calais te ontdekken of naar het strand te gaan.

Un buon hotel

+ L' hotel si trova vicino al centro, comodo l'Eurotunnel, a meno di 15 minuti di auto. Il proprietario è stato molto gentile, c'è la possibilità di parcheggiare privatamente (6 €), o gratuitamente in strada in prossimità di un parco. La camera era pulita, luminosa e silenziosa, letti comodi. Non grandissima ma ci stava tutto. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

Comfortable base from which to explore the delights of Calais

+ I enjoyed my stay in this hotel. I was warmly greeted on check-in, and given lots of information about the town. My room was nicely decorated and comfortable, and it was a nice bonus to be able to use a lounge down the corridor. The location was excellent, overlooking a leafy park, and round the corner from the centre of the town with all of its facilities. The hotel is undergoing some renovation, but this did not impact upon my stay at all. It made a great base.
