+ This is our second year back and we will definitely return to this Sweet Hidden Gem! The location is fabulous and we adore Mel (I call her the Lady of the House).

− I rated the hotel 8/10 which is a great score! I took off 1 point because of the daily noise disturbance at odd hours of the early morning (one day I think it was garbage collection at 2am and another night they were (what looked like) putting up lights or doing some electrical work. I took off another point because the staff member behind the WhatsApp group is extremely rude (I’ve read a number of negative reviews about this so I don’t think anything will change). Whilst the human staff member hiding behind the WhatsApp group could have been nicer, they do have a virtual response thing going as well which could be made more professional and kind (I.e I called the WhatsApp number and I got a curt automated response (see photo screenshot). They also chased me to make payment though they had my CC details upon booking as I’m a Genius member on Booking.com and the billing instructions said we could make payment at the property).

+ The location was fantastic, and the staff were so lovely. Breakfast was great with plenty of it.

− This is the second time we've stayed at the Ca's Papa. The first time was five years ago. So it was very disappointing to find that the hotel itself wasn't so good. The room was in much need of repair. The shower door was missing, and there were quite a few cracked and loose floor tiles that could have quite easily cut your foot. The windows and shutters were difficult to open as the wood was starting to rot, and the fittings were loose. The room had no air conditioning, and with it being on the top floor, the heat was quite unbearable. There were two fans in the room, which helped a little but were quite noisy. The cost of the room was really quite a lot for the standard of it. I would suggest that the owners spend some money on repairs and upping the standard, and maybe some air conditioning.

DELIZIOSA VALLDEMOSSA MA LEGGERMENTE CALDA

+ Ottima posizione nel centro della meravigliosa Valldemossa nonostante quest'ultimo non sia raggiungibile in auto ( consiglio di lasciare auto a 10 min dall'hotel fuori dalla zona ZTL). Si trova in un complesso in pietra molto caratteristico

− Gli impedimenti architettonici non consentono gli impianti di aria condizionata, quindi abbiamo sofferto molto il caldo nonostante il ventolino in camera. Doccia senza porta scorrevole, consiglio di aggiungerle in quanto si allaga tutto il bagno. Colazione gradevole ma non vi è opportunità di scelta, il che implica che quello che c'è si mangia. Essendo intollerante al lattosio non ho avuto molte alternative oltre al latte di avena

− Remote check-in (after hours) was annoying and impersonal. No Air conditioning. Breakfast options were very limited

+ Frühstück gut, Lage in direkt in der Altstadt am alten Palast.

− keine Klimaanlage, nur Van

+ La belle vue ! Les carreaux du sol !! Le petit déjeuner bien copieux et délicieux ! La proximité du village !

− Pour se garer, ce n' est pas une mince affaire. On a demandé où se garer sans se prendre une amende. Le service m'a vite répondu qu'il faut demander l'autorisation à la police locale pour l'avoir. C'est ce que l'on a fait pour se rassurer. A part cela , tout est nickel !

Im Hochsommer nicht zu empfehlen, Lage ist aber gut.

+ Die Unterkunft liegt sehr günstig für einen Urlaub in Valdemossa. Der Check in war sehr unkompliziert.

− Das Hotel gibt an, sich am Anreisetag bis 15 Uhr zu melden mit den benötigten Informationen für das Gebäude - dies ist jedoch nicht geschehen und man musste selbst nachfragen. Im gesamten Gebäude ist es extrem heiß, auch im Zimmer ist die Hitze im Hochsommer kaum zu ertragen. Es gibt zwar 2 Ventilatoren im Zimmer, diese sind jedoch nicht ausreichend. Der Müll wird jede Nacht direkt vor dem Hotel abgeholt und man wird dadurch munter. Das Frühstück ist für 4 Sterne sehr minimalistisch und nicht für alle Ernährungsweisen ausgelegt. Generell hört man innerhalb des Gebäudes jedes Geräusch von den anderen Zimmern.

+ Cómodo. La gente por la mañana muy amable, incluso nos prestaron una sombrilla. El desayuno muy bueno. Estaba todo limpio. Los productos de tocador eran hechos en la isla, que me parece muy bien que se usen productos locales. La cama cómoda, la habitación amplia, con todo lo necesario. Tuvimos un inconveniente con el ventilador que hacía ruido y lo solucionaron enseguida.

− Para llegar no es súper claro. El check in online es molesto, no detecta muy bien los datos y en mi caso tuve que intentar varias veces. Nos dijeron que enviarían los códigos para entrar para la hora del check in y no sucedió, incluso después de avisar que estábamos por llegar. Igual una vez que llegamos, al tocar timbre atendieron y nos dieron la clave. También tuve que pedir clave de wifi porque no estaba en ningún lado. Si la habitación da a la calle como la nuestra es un poco ruidoso por la noche cuando pasa el camión de basura. La puerta de la parte del inodoro no cierra del todo bien.

+ He ido con mi madre y nos ha encantado el hotel, la ubicación inmejorable y el personal súper amable Lo único hacía mucho calor en la habitación y no hay aire acondicionado, cosa que habríamos agradecido con los giornos de tanto calor Gracias por todo

− La temperatura en la habitación 3, en la tercera planta era insoportable. No hay aire acondicionado y la temperatura era inhumana. Imposible descansar. Una pena.

Would never stay again or recommend this property.

+ What we loved about the property was location. Sadly that’s all that we enjoyed.

− From the very beginning, getting our room # and the code to get into the property was delayed almost an hour after we were supposed to check in. Also I received some really sketchy from someone else through the app used to get code. My cell # was clearly shared inappropriately. THE ABSOLUTE WORSE was the lack of air conditioning in the room. Had we known there was no air, we would not have booked this room. Also the parking, luggage situation was terrible. The property offers no parking for their guests. Also we had NO luggage assistance and had to walk our bags literally through the entire town, then up slippery stone steps and then up another 4 flights of stairs. Terrible. Aging with no property, right after check in the representative of the property tells me multiple times we weren’t going to be able to drive in the town, even though we had obtained an international permit. The person texts me that there were cameras all over town and we would surely get large fines if we drove. Last thing that really solidified what a horrible place this was to stay is I unfortunately left a pair of flip flops behind. The property confirmed they found them but then refused to help me get them back. They offered nothing but told me to get a courier to come get them. Obviously being out of our country and having a language barrier, I had no clue how to accomplish going about doing that. Then they send me a lost and found form, and when I expressed difficulties in reading and completing it, that’s when they totally ghosted me. Do not stay here. Zero stars.

+ Emplacement parfait, literie et calme également. Personnel très gentil et agréable. Petit déjeuner extra.

Excellent location and value.

+ Beautiful location. Fabulous view. Spotlessly clean. Lovely staff. Magdalena was incredibly kind especially helping us get taxis.

+ Ubytování je přímo v centru Valldemossy a je naprosto úchvatné, s výhledem do údolí. Už vstup do hotýlku je krásný, protože je zabudovaný přímo do kamenného domu. Snídaně byla vynikající. Všeho bylo tak akorát a přitom od každého něco. Škoda jen, že jsme nezůstali déle, protože celé město Valldemossa je naprosto úchvatné.

Rude and unhelpful management. Bed bugs caused severe rashes

− Room was in the loft with no air con. Windows shut. Fan provided didn’t work. Spoke to manager who was rude and unhelpful. Had to sleep in a room that was 40 degrees

Value for money!

+ The view was absolutely stunning.

− It would be helpful to have a drying rack for swimsuits and towels.

Op vakantie met onze baby

+ De locatie is geweldig! Het uitzicht door ons raam was ook gewoon prachtig. Heel vriendelijke begroeting en een lekker ontbijtje!

− Spijtig dat het zó warm is... Ondanks de blazers hadden we het toch nog extreem warm. Onze baby werd er wakker van. Misschien omdat we helemaal boven sliepen?

Séjour idyllique que nous referons dans ce lieu même à l’occasion!

+ Hôtel extrêmement bien situé malgré l’impossibilité d’y accéder en voiture. L’accueil par une personne très chaleureuse et sympathique! Les petits déjeuners copieux et très bons. La possibilité de passer du temps dans le petit salon en attendant notre départ au-delà de l’heure prévue dans les textes

− L’absence de climatisation mais les ventilateurs ont fait l’affaire

Très belle découverte. Nous reviendrons à une saison moins chaude

− Muito quente, sem ar condicionado. Tem ventoinhas mas não era suficiente para afastar o calor e acabam por fazer barulho durante a noite.

Excellent séjour !

+ Emplacement idéal, chambre confortable et agréable (pas de clim cependant) et petit déjeuner excellent. L’accueil et le personnel au top !

− Chambre un peu chaude en plein été.

Een erg charmant verblijf met heel lief personeel.

+ Het personeel en ontvangst !! Heel lieve en gastvrije dames die erg behulpzaam waren. Een heerlijk ontbijt erbij inbegrepen op een top locatie.

− De kamers op de bovenste verdieping zijn ontzettend warm en zelfs met 2 ventilatoren was het nog erg warm helaas.

Super mooi verblijf om dit dorpje te ontdekken.

+ Ruime schone kamers! Klein koelkastje voor wat drinken of andere dingen koel te bewaren. Douche en toilet erg schoon, fijne locatie in het centrum en super gastvrij personeel.

− Geen airco aanwezig. Let op als je hier wilt komen moet je te voet. Auto is in dit centrum niet toegestaan!

+ 잊을 수 없는 발데모사 여행이였어요~ 카스파파는 숙소의 위치, 청결, 직원의 친절함 등이 좋았어요~

Hôtel charmant mais inconfortable

+ La gentillesse du personnel et l’emplacement idéal.

− Pas de climatisation dans les chambres, seulement un petit ventilateur très bruyant. Mauvaises nuits

Authentic apartment in a great location

+ Excellent location and very authentic decor. The kitchen is well equipped and the apartment has everything you need. The aircondition worked well to cool the place down. We also loved watching "the world go by" outside the apartment - the view is amazing.

− The beds were a little hard and the pillows need replacing. If you are a light sleeper, I would recommend bringing earplugs - but that would be relevant for almost any apartment facing the port/street. Everything else were fine.

+ Fantastic location, comfortable bed and delicious breakfast.

− There is no air conditioning and this makes sleeping impossible (even with 2 fans). We resorted to cold showers and sleeping with cold towels instead of usual bedding. I would not recommend staying here in summer.

Nice room, don't pay for the breakfast

+ The room was really nice and had original features the bed was comfortable

− No air con, no water for guests, told to buy our own, wasp problem outside the main door, the breakfast food was bad, the eggs were grey inside, the bread did not taste fresh, just generally not a good breakfast.
