Favourite location

+ Casa Maria is a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom town house in our favourite part of Nerja. It's a gentle level stroll into town and a short walk down to Burriana beach. It has a private rear yard in which to have breakfast and enjoy the morning sunshine. It's in a quiet location, loads of storage space in the bedrooms, the tv has every channel and the downstairs shower room has been smartly modernised since our last stay. It has a lovely big bath in the upstairs bathroom, also the house has heating and air conditioning.

− A shame we couldn't have stayed longer!

Great locstion, and perfect for families.

+ Great location, short walk to the beach. Our second time we have stayed here and we hope to be back again. Perfect size pool for our small children.

Disappointing. We stayed 13 nights and couldn’t wait to vacate the premises.

+ The property was clean and in a good location. The downstairs shower room was modern and fairly new.

− The property is overall dated and tired. The electricity kept tripping off. The host told us that was because we’re overloading the system and that no one had that problem before. Felt like they didn’t believe me. It was very cold so we needed to heat downstairs and the bedrooms upstairs to make it habitable. The owner got an electrician to check the electricity and we were told there was nothing wrong with it as long as we did not put all the heaters on. If we were downstairs we were told not to put the heaters on upstairs. On top of that we had friends visit us one night and the electricity went off 5 times. We did not have all the heaters on that night so their theory was wrong. The kitchen is ancient and in need of an upgrade. When you put the oven on the lights would often go off. There wasn’t enough warm water for 2 consecutive showers. There was only one set of towels provided which meant I had to wash and try to dry them for the next day to use.

+ Leiligheten var veldig bra rengjort og godt utstyrt. Gode madrasser på begge soverom. Beliggenheten i forhold til gå avstand til sentrum, supermarked og spisesteder. Lett adkomst til området. Hotell Villa Flamenco ligger rett over veien der de har uteservering og happy hour.

− Leiligheten ligger bare seks meter fra veien som til tider er veldig trafikkert. Leiligheten i seg selv trenger en del oppgradering feks så virker ikke takviften på det store soverommet, takviften på det lille soverommet virker men lager en knurrene lyd. Badet nede er veldig trangt og åpningen til dusjen er bare 42 cm. Stuen er utstyrt med en to seter sofa og to stoler som er veldig ukomfortabele. Luftkondisjoneringen på det store soverommet er plassert slik at det blåser rett ned på sengen. Uteområdet i bakgården er helt greit men veldig lite sol kommer til.

Location was great

+ Location, location, location! If you like the beach it's just a 5 min walk. The apartment, though a little tired, had everything we needed. Great outside space, comfortable bed, good bathrooms. 15 min walk to town centre, lovely restaurants and bars. Also went to the bar across the road which was lovely.

− The pool was in a complex on the other side of the road so we didn't use it. It didn't look as inviting as in the photo and was enclosed.

Heerlijk huisje op een rustige en perfecte locatie.

+ Aardige behulpzame gastvrouw. Alle slaapkamers zijn voorzien van goede Airco. Goede locatie. Veel leuke en goede restaurantjes Veel te doen in de omgeving. Het super gezellige stadje Nerja met het grote balkon. Het stadje Frigiliana en de caves. Kayakken naar de waterval is ook zeker een aanrader. Al met al zeer geslaagde vakantie met tieners. Je moet wel in goede conditie zijn omdat de weg vanaf de kust best wel een klim is. Aanrader sochtends broodjes halen of eten bij het bakkertje Nybakat. Stukje lopen, maar dan heb je ook echt lekker brood.

+ The location was ideal—just a short walk to Burriana Beach and nearby restaurants, about 10 minutes to the old town dining spots, and 15 minutes to the Balcón de Europa. Our host was exceptional, maintaining great communication throughout and going above and beyond to accommodate our early arrival in Nerja.

− Unfortunately the sofa bed is not at all comfortable.

Nice property in a good location in beautiful Nerja!

+ The location is very good. Only a 5 min walk to the nearest shop and 15 min walk to the Balcon de Europa. The 3 star hotel Villa Flamenca is just across the road and has a small bar/restaurant which is nice and do a lovely breakfast . The property is a house on two floors with 2 good sized bedrooms with comfortable beds and a bathroom (shower in bath) on the first floor. Each bedroom has a small balcony. Downstairs has a small kitchen and a living area with a very comfortable 3 piece suite and a smart TV and good broadband. There is a 2nd toilet downstairs with a shower which is very small but great to have. There is a patio area with seating off the kitchen. The living room is a bit dark but in summer time this could be a blessing. There are aircon units for aircon/heating but also electric radiators which are great for the chillier evenings in the winter months. There is a tiny pool which would be nice for a dip when the weather is warmer. The beautiful Burriana beach is only 10/15 min walk downhill although the walk back up is not for the faint hearted. Our host was excellent and was very responsive on the couple of occasions we needed to contact her.

− For those with a car, parking can be an issue but its the same everywhere in Nerja and I always found a spot no more than 5 mins away.

+ The location is great. 10 minutes from the Beach, not too far from town and there’s a great snack bar just opposite! The shop next door is pretty well stocked and not far from supermarket. The beds were comfy and the place was nice and clean. We had a travel cot provided and towels for all. The 2 balcony’s are nice.

− It’s a tad smaller than I think the pictures make it look and it’s very tired. Could do with an update. The shower upstairs, over the bath, needs redoing and there a lots of cracked tiles in the kitchen. You have use of the pool directly out the front and then another across the road. The pool outside the front needs looking at. It’s very tired, tiles missing etc. The pool across the road is better but there is no where at all to sit so take your own chairs! I’m not sure, for the price we paid, it was good value for money.

− I only wished I could have had my morning coffee in the court yard in sunshine Due its location and surrounding buildings the little court yard didn’t get much sunshine if at all. However I sat just outside the front door late afternoon - this was lovely

+ Lovely house, it was spacious, comfortable and had everything you need for your stay. Both rooms had balcony's to enjoy but the highlight was the large terrace where we had breakfast every morning. The pool was perfect to cool down in after a day exploring. We booked transfers through the accomodation, really easy and would recommend. The location was good, around 15 mins from the town and 10 from the beach with bars and restaurants on route. Nerja is abit of a maze and the hill to the closest beach is steep. Overall, loved it and would recommend.

− Pool was disappointing, much smaller than picture, would have been ok if sun loungers were available. Main bedroom was lovely, 2nd bedroom very small, but it was ok.

Great short break exactly as expected

+ Exactly as described, good location. Great communication from the host. Supermarket on the doorstep with all necessary supplies. very clean.

− Showers a little tired but functional. No loungers but none were specified. very steep hill back up from the beach - 600 steps.
