A Hidden Gem 🤍

+ We absolutely loved our stay at Hostal Delia in Álora! We were travelling as a family (children aged 5 & 12) and it turned out to be the perfect stop on our Spanish road trip. Álora is such a lovely little town — very Spanish, friendly and welcoming, and we really enjoyed wandering around and experiencing a more authentic side of Spain. It’s also really easy to get to, which made it a great stopover for us. We will be visiting again. We stayed in a quad room, which was much bigger than expected, really spacious and absolutely spotless. The whole hostal is incredibly clean and well looked after, including all the communal areas. One of our favourite little touches was the complimentary coffee and pastries on the terrace in the morning. Such a lovely thing to offer and a great way to start the day. Our host was so welcoming and friendly. His English was limited, but that honestly didn’t matter at all — he made such an effort to communicate with us and went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome. He even helped us with parking when we arrived, which was a huge help after a long drive. We paid €10 extra to park in the garage and felt it was definitely worth it. We’re so glad we chose to stay here. Clean, comfortable, welcoming and full of Spanish charm — exactly what we wanted from our road trip. We’d definitely stay again and would happily recommend Hostal Delia to other families travelling through the area.

− One tiny thing would be blackout curtains as the shutters finished short so let the light through. Not a huge issue for us.

A perfect place to stay

+ Everything was perfect. The owner and workers were very nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, everything was working well, including AC and TV. In the rooms there are fridges. The kitchen next to the terrace was equipped with coffee, tea and some sweets. The terrace on the top of the building was perfect and the view was magical. We loved eating breakfasts there. The location of the town was good to visit all the cities located around Álora. Next to the hostal there is mercadona, the restaurants are also easily reachable by walk. I would love to come back to the Hostal Delia and I can truly recommend this place :)

Nice, clean Hostel with private bathrooms

+ The host was amazing. Doesn't speak much English but luckily half our group speaks fluent spanish. I just needed one of there with me. The facility was nice with a great top deck with some pastries. The room is utilitarian, clean and secure. That's all we needed for a night.

− Parking was a disaster. We got there late after eating. There was a festival just up the street that everyone used this housing area to park in. I had requested parking but because my booking app wouldn't sync with my computer I didn't get the hosts messages and he gave away our parking spot. So if you are going there with a car make sure you secure a parking spot before leaving home.

+ Ottima struttura in un bellissimo paese che collega malaga al caminito del rey. Pulita, letti comodi e piccola colazione offerta in veranda!

+ Velmi čisté ubytování, výborné zařízené, k dispozici bylo potřeba prakticky vše. Velkým plusem možnost drobné snídaně a kávy v ceně ubytování. Hostitel je velice přátelský.

+ La atención de su propietario excelente la limpieza tan extrema y lo bien cuidado que estaba todo y el detalle del desayuno de 10 junto con las vistas da la terraza para mí de cinco estrellas si otro giorno volvemos repetiremos el mismo sitio.

+ Très bel hôtel avec de jolis équipements. Très calme dans une petite ville très pittoresque perchée sur la colline. Les paysages sont magnifiques. Très jolie terrasse avec une vue magnifique sur laquelle peuvent être savourés café, thé et petites gourmandises sucrées offertes gracieusement par l'hôtel. Une très jolie expérience.

− Le stationnement dans le quartier est relativement difficile. A moins de s'éloigner un petit peu et revenir à l'hôtel à pied. Mais c'est faisable si pas de bagages trop lourds.

Un très bon point de départ pour la visite du caminito del rey

+ L’excellent accueil de José, très chaleureux et sympathique avec de très bons conseils pour visiter le caminito del rey. La présence d’un petit réfrigérateur dans la chambre, laquelle est spacieuse et confortable. Même s’il n’y a pas de petit déjeuner, du café, du thé et du lait sont disponibles avec des petits biscuits sur la terrasse qui dispose en plus d’une très belle vue. Un grand moment de plaisir partagé en famille. Le tout pour un prix très raisonnable. Merci José

+ Il meglio es que el alloggio y la atención personal cumplen sobradamente con lo previsto al hacer la reserva. Sólo nos alojamos una noche por pernoctar para tomar un vuelo da Málaga, pero no nos hubiera importado quedarnos por más tiempo. Todo estaba muy limpio y nuevo y sobre todo nos gustó la terraza superior que para las notti de verano es magnífica. En pocas semanas volveremos a alojarnos aquí.

Agradable y tranquilo

+ La habitación era muy bonita, práctica con todo lo necesario. El desayuno sencillo y en una terraza preciosa con vistas. Además llegamos fuera de horario y nos dejaron las llaves y todo preparado. Sinceramente fue muy bonito el sitio y el personal muy amable y comprensible.

+ Séjour d une seule nuit en transit. Nous avons été treees bien accueilli et la terrasse à l étage présente un teees beau panorama sur la vallée.

− Quizás por poner una pega un poco la lejanía con la zona del mirador, pero estaba solo a 20 minutos andando

Adorava lá voltar.

+ Não tinha pequeno almoço, mas tinha oferta de lanches deliciosos todo o dia. Adorei!

− Ter um grelhador.

+ La preparación que hay en la terraza,es una atención muy buena ya que no faltaba de nada, también es muy tranquila la zona.

− Bueno en verdad la habitación es pequeña,el colchón y la almohada son algo incomoda ya que son demasiado duros,y la almohada muy baja.

+ Locatie goed zeker om de caminito del rey te lopen en Andulusie te ontdekken per auto. zeer nette schone hostel lijkt meer op een hotel maar dan zonder zwembad en restaurant. wel mooi dakterras en boven kleine keuken voor thee koffie .koelkast op de kamer en ruime douche.

+ From the moment we walked into the property, Jose made us feel welcome (even with our very, very limited understanding of Spanish). Accommodation exceeded our expectations. Views from the roof terrace were amazing, and location was perfect as it was only a short walk to the restaurants. We definitely hope to stay there again when we return to Alora!

Très chouette nuit à l’hôtel délia

+ Hôtel très propre et propriétaire très gentil ! Le rooftop est extra ! De quoi se pauser, transat, chaises et tables à dispo. De quoi se restaurer en journée à dispo, ainsi que café et infusions offertes. Nous recommandons !
