+ Exceptional Staff – What Truly Makes This Hotel Special Our stay at the hotel was great, but what truly made the experience exceptional was the staff. I travel a lot and have stayed in many high-end hotels around the world, and I can genuinely say that I have rarely experienced such a friendly, welcoming, and attentive team. Every single member of staff we encountered, without exception, was incredibly kind, professional, and always willing to help. What impressed me most was that they didn’t simply provide good service—they consistently went the extra mile. It was the small gestures, attention to detail, and genuine friendliness that made such a difference and made us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. A beautiful hotel is important, but it is the people who create a memorable experience, and the staff here certainly did that for us. A big thank you to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable. We would happily return!

+ I really enjoyed my stay at the InterContinental Madrid. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet, which was especially appreciated after a long day. Breakfast was one of the highlights, with plenty of choice and very good quality. The staff, at name Nohora Dias, were friendly and professional throughout my stay. I would happily stay here again on my next visit to Madrid.

Cosiest bed ever

+ We went for my husbands birthday and booked three rooms as some friends joined us. The addition of the executive lounge with our room choice was really worth it! As a group it was a great meeting place with lots of lovely drinks and snacks. We also did the bottomless brunch on the Sunday afternoon which again was worth every penny. The staff were AMAZING… the hotel was old style luxury but warm and friendly. Fab breakfast and the cosiest bed ever. Loved it. Thank you

+ Beautiful hotel with highly attentive staff. Fantastic location with lots around the hotel. Staff were amazing and very helpful and polite. Room was lovely with a massive bathroom and great air-conditioning! Breakfast was stunning with all needs catered for. A beautiful experience at the Intercontinental Madrid.

First Class Team and Outstanding Hospitality

+ My recent stay at the Intercontinental Madrid was an absolute pleasure, and I cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness, generosity and outstanding hospitality. The hotel is absolutely spotless. And from arrival, everyone from the door staff to the porters and front desk staff, was incredibly welcoming and helpful. I was given an absolutely fabulous room and the housekeeping staff kept it immaculate. I would like to highlight my experience at the hotel bar, where I received exceptional hospitality and engaging discussion. I look forward to my return and highly recommend to anyone visiting Madrid.

Amazing stay during Pride Week 2026

+ Definitely an awesome stay. It’s been a while since me and my friends received so many attentions while staying in a Hotel. Starting with Carlos at the front door who everyday with a huge smile got us transportation and gave us security tips. One of my friends luggage arrived 2 days late and Ignacio at the concierge desk was on top of the airline making sure my friend didn’t have to deal with the situation. David at the Bar keep our glasses and snacks always fresh with a great attitude. The food was amazing, you must try the Bao Bun with calamari and Mayo. Outstanding. And ask for a clara Limón beer. Trust me. About the room, facilities and cleanliness I can only say it was at Intercontinental high standards. Amparo did an amazing job taking care of every detail in our room. It always smell fresh and clean. On these days when sometime we forgot how a warm customer service used to be it’s refreshing to have an experience like the one we had during our pride week in Madrid. Thanks Intercontinental.

5+ Star IHG Property

+ A friend and I stayed at the IHG in Madrid for 2 nights (sightseeing) as part of a longer trip through 2 European Countries, 3 cities. From the second we checked in, it was 5 star treatment. Ana at the front desk was extremely pleasant and helpful. Unbelievably accommodating with an early check-in request and thorough when explaining ALL the property's benefits. Daniel at the Concierge Desk was awesome when booking a day trip via train and provided amazing recommendations on what to see and where to eat, both on the excursion and around the city. Each morning, Ash greeted us at the restaurant with such a warm and welcoming smile. Asking us about our day, making small talk, creating such a home-like or family-like atmosphere. The doorman were all awesome as well! The breakfast was delicious and service was impeccable. The room was awesome and cleanliness of the property was amazing. If you have the opportunity to stay at this property, I absolutely recommend you do so. I commend the management for their part and having such a wonderful, customer oriented team.

A beautiful hotel with outstanding service

+ I have been a member of the IHG group for a couple of years now and have had nothing but great experiences in all locations/countries I've visited. The Intercontinental Madrid was no exception. From the moment we stepped in we were greeted by extremely helpful and cheerful staff who couldn't do enough to assist. I don't think there was a staff member who didn't greet us when we walked passed which really made us feel welcome. The hotel itself is stunningly beautiful. The bar, restaurant and rooms are spectacular. The cleanliness and overall elegance of the establishment is reason alone to visit Madrid. I have to give a special shout out to Deyanira R. who works in the Club Lounge. The level of service we received while we were there was astounding. Whether it was offering us coffee or recommending what to have for breakfast, she never once failed to make us smile. She effortlessly made sure that every person in the room was attended to from taking a food order to simply closing a blind slightly to block out the sun's glare. Regardless of how busy she was she never stopped smiling and even took some time to recommend places to see and the best times to return to Madrid. It is people like her to turn good hotels into great ones. Intercontinental Madrid has the best hotel, best staff and i definitely would recommend.

Perfect stay in Madrid

+ We stayed at the club level and the experience was phenomenal. Breakfast was delicious. The drinks kept flowing and the staff was delightful. The rooms were comfortable and the location allowed for a very quiet and restful night.

Business trip

+ Stayed her for one night while on business. Grand building which is steeped in history. Rooms could do with an upgrade in terms of decor but certainly have all the amenities needed. I was upgraded upon arrival to a premium room with terrace, which was much appreciated. AC was incredibly noisy though, had to turn it off in order to sleep. My one key criticism was the service at breakfast - I didn't find it to be particularly warm, coffee / tea never proactively topped up unless you chase them (multiple times). Very close to airport which was a plus.

Great location, excellent service

+ Had a short stay in Madrid while visiting Spain. The hotel itself was in a good location and our suite was large and comfortable. But what really stood out was the service. The staff in the club lounge were exceptional (Anabel and Dejanira) and made the stay. - and breakfast- a wonderful experience. The doormen were very helpful with travel and restaurant tips and the concierge was on top of the game and our travel arrangements. Absolutely no issues

Hopeless for tourists, overpriced for most things

+ We were here as part of a tour group. Its in a hopeless position for a tourist as its so far from anything worth seeing here and there are very few cafes or restaurants anywhere near it. The restaurant is ridiculously expensive for breakfast (38 EU) if you were paying for it (we weren't) and anything cooked on the buffet was usually luke warm. The restaurant for dinner was also expensive and the meals were served with not much else. i.e. I had fish and it was served with 4 sticks of asparagus and nothing else. Hopeless pillows on the beds - no support from them at all. Pleasant staff, but thats the only good thing I can say about the hotel

Breakfast at InterContinental Madrid – A Delightful Experience

+ I had a wonderful breakfast experience at the InterContinental Madrid. The food selection was excellent, with a great variety of fresh, high-quality options that catered to every taste. Everything I tried was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. The staff were attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Their service struck the perfect balance—always available without being intrusive. The setting itself is absolutely beautiful, creating a calm and elegant atmosphere that makes starting the day here feel special. Overall, a fantastic breakfast experience that I would highly recommend.

A wonderful hotel in Madrid!

+ There is a consistency with the Intercontinental hotels that I appreciate. Our location was close to the center and yet not in the fray of things. It was an easy walk to everywhere we wanted to go, but also had a lovely neighborhood feel. Additionally, the service was impeccable. Maid service consistently refilled our amenities, including Daily water. The breakfast, which came with our room was personalized, offering of variety of options from eggs cooked to our specifications to smoke salmon, potatoes, meat, etc., as well as a beautiful variety of breads. The Concierge was always helpful and supportive, as was the front desk. Everyone was accommodating, warm and friendly. The rooms, although they could probably use a refurbishment, had everything we would need and we’re very well thought out in terms of where to hang your clothes, charging areas, hooks for your towels, etc. Also, the beds were wonderful with comfortable feather pillows which we requested, and crisp per cow, cotton sheets, large, fluffy towels, comfortable, new bath robes, and counter space around each sink for both me and my husband. Some people don’t notice this sort of thing, but for me, it really makes a difference in terms of my comfort and a good nights sleep. Given a choice, this is a hotel I would stay in again. A few months ago, we stayed at the intercontinental in Dublin and had a very similar experience. In contrast, we recently stayed at a high-end and very modern hotel in Bilbao, Spain, but those details were missing and I absolutely noticed the difference. This was our first time in Spain and our first trip to Madrid, and I have fallen in love and will surely be back!

Great stay at the Intercontinental Madrid

+ The entire stay was a great experience. The property , and the entire staff make you feel great. At the Club lounge the service is amazing, thanks to Anabel the chef and Deyanira Rojas made our stay memorable. They took care of us with very detail, conversation and warmth. When you stay ask for them. On our next trip to Madrid we will book the hotel and ask for them at the Club Lounge again!
