Arrival in Sofia (Bulgaria)

   Arrive at Sofia Airport, where you'll be met and assisted with your transfer to your hotel. Check in at the 4-star Rosslyn Central Park Hotel or a similar property. The rest of the day is free for you to settle in, relax, or explore Sofia at your own pace before the tour begins.

Sofia City Tour – Rila Monastery – Sofia

   Start your day with a guided tour of Sofia, visiting Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the Rotunda of St. George, and Parliament Square. In the afternoon, travel into the mountains to visit Rila Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its colorful architecture and peaceful setting. After your visit, return to Sofia for the night. Entrance fees to paid attractions are not included.

Sofia – Veliko Tarnovo – Arbanassi

   Leave Sofia and travel to Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria's former medieval capital. Visit the historic Tsarevets Fortress and explore Samovodska Charshiya, a traditional street known for its old buildings and craft shops. Continue to the nearby village of Arbanassi, where you'll see traditional architecture and visit the historic Nativity Church, known for its richly decorated interior. Entrance fees to paid attractions are not included.

Veliko Tarnovo – Bucharest (Romania)

   Travel north from Veliko Tarnovo and cross the Danube River at Ruse as you enter Romania. Continue to Bucharest for a panoramic city tour, passing some of the capital's best-known landmarks, including the Palace of Parliament, Romanian Athenaeum, and Revolution Square. Get your first look at Romania's capital before checking into your hotel. This is a panoramic sightseeing tour; interior admission is not included.

Bucharest – Sinaia – Bran – Brasov

   Leave Bucharest and travel through the Carpathian Mountains toward Sinaia, home to Peleș Castle, known for its detailed architecture and mountain surroundings. Continue to Bran Castle, often called Dracula's Castle because of its connection to the famous legend. Later, travel to Brașov, where you'll explore the historic center, including the Black Church and Council Square, surrounded by colorful buildings and mountain scenery.

Brasov – Sighisoara – Sibiu

   Travel from Brașov to Sighișoara, a UNESCO-listed medieval town known for its colorful buildings and well-preserved citadel. Walk through the historic streets and see the Clock Tower, one of the town's main landmarks. Climbing the tower is subject to access and any applicable entrance fee. Continue to Sibiu, where you'll explore the Large Square, Small Square, and the Bridge of Lies. Spend time walking through the old town before settling into your hotel.

Sibiu – Timisoara

   Leave Sibiu and travel west to Timișoara, a city closely connected to Romania's 1989 Revolution and named a European Capital of Culture in 2023. Explore Union Square, known for its colorful historic buildings, then continue to Victory Square and the Orthodox Cathedral. These landmarks introduce you to the city's architecture and history before your overnight stay

Timisoara – Vršac – Belgrade (Serbia)

   Leave Romania and cross into Serbia through Vršac, a town near the border. Take a short walking tour through Vršac Old Town before continuing to Belgrade, Serbia's capital. On arrival, check in at the 4-star Hotel Moskva, Crowne Plaza Belgrade, or a similar hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax or explore the nearby area at your own pace.

Belgrade City Tour

   Spend the day exploring Belgrade's main historic landmarks. Visit Kalemegdan Fortress, overlooking the meeting point of the Danube and Sava rivers, then continue to Republic Square and St. Sava Temple. Walk through Skadarlija, Belgrade's historic Bohemian Quarter, known for its traditional restaurants and old streets. An optional Danube and Sava river cruise is also listed for travelers who would like to experience the city from the water.

Belgrade – Novi Sad – Belgrade

   Take a full-day trip from Belgrade to Novi Sad, Serbia's second-largest city. Visit Petrovaradin Fortress, overlooking the Danube River, then explore the historic city center, with its squares, colorful buildings, and pedestrian streets.
