Alicante has 1842 accommodations on our platform, and the offer is so varied that the choice depends almost entirely on what you want to do. If you come for the beach and the historic center, the practical thing is to stay around Postiguet and the Explanada: there you have hotels of all categories, apartments two minutes from the sand, and most restaurants within walking distance. It is the most convenient area for those who do not want to depend on the car, although the average price rises to 224 euros per night and in summer it is advisable to book in advance. If you prefer something quieter and with better value for money, the San Blas neighborhood or the train station area give you quick access to the center in ten minutes on foot or by tram, and apartments are usually more spacious for less money.

The other great option is Cabo de las Huertas and Albufereta, to the north: there, vacation homes and villas predominate, with 93 and 63 units respectively throughout the city, and they are ideal if you travel with family or in a group. San Juan beach is a step away, but the surroundings are more residential and you will need transportation to go to the old town. In the center, on the other hand, you will find the 115 hotels and the 21 aparthotels, which are the intermediate option if you want services without giving up a kitchen. The 39 hostels and guest houses, such as Hostal Jireh or Old Town La Estación, are the budget alternative: the lowest price we have right now is 61 euros per night, and they are usually in charming old buildings, although with less equipment.

To get around, El Altet airport is 12 kilometers from the center: the C-6 bus takes half an hour and costs less than four euros, and the taxi is around 25. Once in the city, the L2 tram connects the center with San Juan beach and Cabo, and the L1 reaches Benidorm if you want to take a day trip. If you come by car, keep in mind that parking in the center is expensive and complicated; many apartments do not include a parking space, so ask before booking. As for prices, the low season (from November to March) is when they drop the most, especially during the week; in April and October you can still find deals, but from June to September prices skyrocket, especially in August. Before booking, check if the accommodation has an elevator (many old buildings do not), if the kitchen is equipped for your type of trip, and if the cancellation is flexible: in apartments it is usually stricter than in hotels.

Frequently asked questions

What is the average price per night in Alicante?

The average price of the 1842 accommodations we manage is 224 euros per night, but there is a big difference depending on the area and the time of year. The cheapest available right now costs 61 euros, and it is usually hostels or small apartments outside the center.

What is the best time to find good prices?

From November to March, except for the Christmas holidays and the Hogueras in June, is when prices drop the most. April and October are a good balance between pleasant weather and moderate rates, as long as you avoid holiday bridges.

What area suits me if I go without a car?

The center, between the Explanada and the Central Market, is the most practical: you have the tram, the bus, and almost everything on foot. If you want the beach without a car, look for accommodation in Postiguet or Albufereta, which have a nearby tram stop.

How do I get from the airport to my accommodation?

The C-6 bus leaves every 20 minutes and drops you in the center in about 30 minutes for less than 4 euros. The taxi costs between 20 and 25 euros and takes about 15 minutes if there is no traffic.

What booking conditions should I check before paying?

In hotels there is usually free cancellation up to 24 or 48 hours before, but in apartments and vacation homes it is common for there to be no refund if you cancel less than a week in advance. Also check if they charge an extra cleaning fee or if they require a deposit upon arrival.
