+ We stayed in Elisabete's lovely little studio for 8 nights over Christmas. The accomodation is small but has absolutely everything you could possibly need. The location was perfect with lots to do right on the door step. The views from the balcony are stunning. You can walk into Funchal in approximately 50mins or catch the number 1 or 2 bus on the main road. There are plenty of fabulous restaurants close by and a shopping centre with large supermarket just a 5 minute walk away. Elisabete was an amazing host. She got us a Christmas gift and went out of her way to find us places open on Christmas day for food. This was our first time in Maderia and we fell in love with the place. We will definitely be returning.

− We found the mattresses to be very hard and uncomfortable but that could have suited some people.

+ The apartments' location is great, and it is very convenient to get there by various means: taxi or public transport. The apartments have everything you need for a comfortable, cozy vacation. Nearby is the ocean, a promenade for walks, restaurants for every taste, swimming pools and incredible views that you can see right from the balcony! I would like to express my special gratitude to Elisabete for her caring attitude, attention to detail and impressive cleanliness, which is felt in every corner of the apartment. The apartment with a balcony overlooking the boundless ocean creates a unique atmosphere of peace and inspiration. What was especially impressive was that everything needed was prepared in advance – from everyday necessities to amenities that guests often don’t even think about. This is a true sign of the hostess’s sincere desire to make the stay as comfortable as possible for guests. We had an unforgettable vacation and felt like we were at home with good friends. Thank you Elisabete for her hospitality, care and impeccable service, in which you can feel the heart and soul of the hostess! We will definitely return to Madeira and will definitely choose cozy Apartamento do Mar e Lua!

− Água quente no duche. Apenas para um duche (no segundo, a água vinha fria). Piscina indisponível, apesar de termos acesso a outras noutros locais (que não utilizámos). Estacionamento difícil.

+ The apartment is perfect for a couple. It's located in a great area, with a promenade for strolling and some centers with swimming pools nearby. The view from the balcony is wonderful, especially the sunrises over the ocean. The apartment is well-equipped, with everything you need for your stay. Even beach towels were provided. The bed was comfortable. The hostess was very helpful and well-informed (for instance the fish restaurant she recommended was very nice).

− Parking was a problem (which is not uncommon in Madeira), especially when returning late from a trip, when the parking spaces in front of and behind the building were full. However, there is an underground parking garage nearby where you can park for 8.50 euros per day.

+ The location is excellent and the view from the balcony is just beautiful. The apartment is cozy, comfortable, and has everything you could possibly need and more. Our host took care of every detail, made sure we knew how to check in, and even shared tips on what to see and where to eat. She was incredibly kind and welcoming. Highly recommend!

+ Sehr netter Empfang durch Elisabete, mit tollen Tipps für die Umgebung. Toller Ausblick , zentral gelegen - gute Anbindung zu dem Straßennetz für die Ausflüge. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

− Parkplatz Situation sehr eingeschränkt, das nahe gelegene Parkhaus öffnet leider erst um 7 Uhr, so das man manche Ausflüge dann nicht zeitnah starten kann. Der Poolbereich ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, laut Rückmeldung wurde aber die Wasserqualität aber regelmäßig geprüft.

+ The host was very kind and responded quickly, we arrived early and was allowed to check in before the check in time. Personal and professional at the same time! The apartment had everything we needed, and was cleaned to perfection. The full double bed with separate beds was very nice and of course the balcony was extraordinary.

+ Maria is an outstanding host. Right from the start, she made us feel incredibly welcome, meeting us personally to introduce us to the area. She explained all the facilities, the strategic location of the flat, and recommended various must-see sites nearby, enriching our experience. The flat itself is a gem – it boasts an incredibly comfortable, large bed that promises a good night's sleep, giant windows that flood the space with natural light, and a breathtaking view of the ocean that is absolutely mesmerizing at sunset. Moreover, the kitchen is well-equipped, making it a joy to prepare meals with local ingredients. The cleanliness and attention to detail throughout the flat made our stay not just comfortable, but truly luxurious.

+ Wonderful location (the view from the balcony is amazing), very clean and cosy apartment with all equipment you may need - washing machine, iron, blankets, swimming pool towels, microwave, kitchenware, refrigerator, etc. Access to the swimming pool, free parking, fast wifi and what is even more important - very kind and helpful host who gave us great tips, ensured we had everything we needed during our stay and surprised us with a lovely gift as we stayed on my husband's birthday. All in all we truly enjoyed our stay at the property.
