Benidorm has more than 1800 vacation rental accommodations, and the choice of area greatly conditions your stay. If you are looking for atmosphere and beach at street level, the center and Playa de Levante are the most practical: you have everything nearby, from supermarkets to nightlife, but also more noise and difficulty parking. Playa de Poniente, on the other hand, is quieter and more modern, with wide promenades and fewer crowds, although to get to the center you will need to walk about twenty minutes or take a bus. El Rincón de Loix, to the north, is an intermediate option: more residential, with good prices and close to the theme park, but somewhat farther from the main beaches.
Prices vary greatly depending on the season. The average price is around 235 euros per night, but you can find apartments from 61 euros if you travel between November and March, outside of holidays and local festivals. In summer and Easter week, prices rise between 40 and 60 percent, and it is advisable to book at least two months in advance. If your date is flexible, the months of May, June, and September offer good weather and more reasonable rates than July and August. The average category of accommodations is three stars, so do not expect excessive luxuries in most cases; search carefully if you need specific services such as a heated pool or high-speed wifi.
To get there, the most comfortable option is to fly to Alicante-Elche and take a direct bus (about one hour) or a rental car. If you go by car, keep in mind that parking in the center is expensive and scarce; many accommodations offer a space for a daily supplement of 10 to 15 euros. To move around Benidorm, urban buses work well and cost little, but the city is flat in the beach area and you can walk without a problem. Before booking, check whether the price includes final cleaning, bed linen and towels, and whether there is a security deposit. It is also advisable to look at recent reviews about nighttime noise and the condition of the furniture, because the supply is very wide and quality varies quite a bit from one apartment to another.
Between November and March, except Christmas and Fallas, is when rates drop the most, with nights from 61 euros. May and September are a good balance between pleasant weather and moderate prices.
Playa de Poniente is the most recommended for its wide promenade, cleaner sand, and family atmosphere. El Rincón de Loix also works well, but you will have to take a bus or car to reach the beach.
There are direct buses from the company Alsa that leave every half hour and take about 50 minutes. You can also take a taxi, but it costs between 60 and 80 euros, so if there are more than two of you, it is worth it.
Most require an advance payment of 30% and the rest a few days before check-in. It is common to require a deposit of 100 to 200 euros that is returned upon departure, and free cancellation is usually limited to 7 or 14 days before.
In the center and Levante it is complicated and expensive, with public parking lots around 15 euros per day. Many apartments offer their own space for a supplement, so it is advisable to book it when reserving if you do not want to go around in circles.
