To get there, the most comfortable option is the car: from Lugo capital it takes about 90 minutes via the A-8, and from A Coruña just under an hour and a half. The bus arrives from Ribadeo and Burela, but frequencies are limited, so if you do not have your own vehicle, consider renting one. To get around the area, the car is almost essential if you want to see the cliffs of Reinante, the beach of As Catedrales, or the port of Burela, because the distances are short but public transport is scarce.

Before booking, check three things: whether the apartment includes a parking space or not, because in summer parking in Foz is complicated; whether the kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher or washing machine, which is not always the case; and whether the listing specifies the real distance to the beach, because some say “5 minutes” and that could be on foot or by car. It is also worth looking at previous guests' reviews about noise, especially if the building is near the port bars. And watch out for cleaning: some accommodations charge a final supplement that does not appear in the price per night, so read the conditions carefully before confirming.
