+ We loved the quiet location of the property, which has a spacious and comfortable garden in which to relax and enjoy the views. The house is compact yet comfortable and homely, with lots of traditional features. The host is very warm and welcoming.

Schöne Aussicht in ruhiger Lage

+ Kleines altes Häuschen. Und es ist wirklich alles alt, nicht nur "retro" - aber insgesamt gepflegt und gut in Schuss. Die Aussicht ist toll, und die Erreichbarkeit per Pkw kein Problem, auch dank der Anfahrtsbeschreibung durch den Vermieter. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die Ruhe und die Aussicht, sowohl vom kleinen Balkon als auch vom Freisitz.

− Einzig das Bett wirkt etwas durchgelegen - der Topper scheint aber zu sein. Für ein paar Nächte aber kein Problem.

+ Amazing views, lovely self contained cottage with outdoor space. Decorated in a nice rustic manner, very homely.

− Showers a little cramped and hard not to bump the mixer tap in use, very minor issue a smaller twist tap rather than lever would fix it.

Exceptional

+ We can definitely recommend staying here, if you're looking for a calm place with a very nice view. Especially during sunrise in the morning, when you have breakfast on the balcony, it feels like a really good rest and vacation. The house has everything inside what you need for vacation, a small kitchen, a bathroom and a living room. Only the shower need's a little upgrade in space. It's very small. For Dinner we can recommend "Restaurant Los Telares Hermigua". You can just go down the 208 stairs to the main street near the house and go all the way up to the restaurant. It's a 15 minute walk from there.

Cute house with views

+ Cute authentic house with lots of outside space on the large terrace and balcony. Very quiet location with view over the valley and mountains. Clearly a lot of thought was put in to think about anything you may need during your stay. Everything you may need is there. Friendly host.

− When staying here a car is recommended. The location is a bit high up off the main road and Hermigua is quite spread out. This means that restaurants and supermarket are quite far on foot. By car it's a short drive.

The best place in La Gomera

+ The view is as amazing as the picture. It is very cozy, bright and charming. Clean, organized, and many little details which made our stay amazing. Also, the host is very kind and even gave us a present. 100% RECOMMENDED.

An exquisitely quaint and well-equipped cottage that felt like a home from home.

+ Incredibly well equipped, Casa Jonay is beautifully located and made for a wonderful base to explore various hikes. Great restaurants, a bakery/cafe and well-stocked (organic!) supermarkets are almost on the doorstep. The property is very cosy and the views and vibe are so, so sweet. The host was very kind and friendly, too.

− Nothing really. The road leading up to the property is steep and winding and the parking is very tight, but these things are tiny inconveniences when faced with all the massive positives. Neither will be a problem for a competent driver.

Great little place.

+ A simple cosy place in the right location. We could walk from the house, and also walk to cafes and restaurants. The host received us early as we needed wifi, which we used on the terrace while they were cleaning after the previous tenants.

− The walk back up from the shop! But that's because we don't like using the car.

Great facilities and location

+ Great location for walking, seeing rural life and being able to relax in peace quiet overlooking beautiful mountainous views but with basic shops/ facilities all close at hand. Owner very nice, local biscuits and bananas on arrival plus coffee, basic cooking herbs/oil etc a very nice touch.

− Only window in bedroom had a stone wall immediately behind it so no view and room dark, shower facilities very basic and had also hoped for view down to sea from sitting on our balcony but not quite. None of these things a big issue though... Overall we really enjoyed this place.

A charming spot to stay away from it all.

+ The views from the balcony across to the valley were superb - a great place to stay if you want to get away from it all and relax. The little cottage was very charming in the traditional Canario style and just right for a couple. Lovely outdoor space - the balcony and the terrace for your exclusive use. Excellent shops and restaurants a short drive away in the town. We visited in November and enjoyed the winter sun.

− You have a long walk down and up the hills to get to the town's facilities are they are very spread out along the valley.

Authentic apartment with value for money

+ - amazing views for breakfast and evening drink - small apartment but it had everything we needed. the decoration in very cute and in tune with the location - the owner was absolutely amazing and helpful. he helped us start up the bbq - small town 5min walk with cafes and some restaurants
