Beceite is a small village in the Matarraña region, in the province of Teruel, and most of its accommodations are concentrated in the town centre or very close to it. If what you're looking for is convenience for walking to bars and restaurants, you're better off staying inside the village, where you'll find renovated stone houses and charming apartments. The other option is to stay on the outskirts or in nearby villages, such as Valderrobres or La Fresneda, which are ten to fifteen minutes away by car; there the surroundings are quieter and there's usually more outdoor space, but you'll need a vehicle for everything.

The main difference between areas lies in the atmosphere and access to nature. From the town centre you can walk to routes such as the río Matarraña route or the trail to la Pesquera, ideal if you don't want to take the car every day. On the other hand, if you stay in an isolated country house, you'll gain silence and views, but you'll lose the possibility of going out to dinner without driving. For most visitors, the most practical option is to stay in Beceite pueblo, because parking is usually not a problem and everything is close by.

As for prices, high season runs from Semana Santa to September, with peaks in July and August and on public holiday weekends. If you can, travel in May, June or October: accommodation prices drop considerably and the weather is still pleasant for hiking. The lowest price you'll find is around 105 euros per night, and the average is 163, so it's worth comparing carefully between apartments and holiday homes, which make up most of the offer. To get there, the most common way is to drive from Zaragoza, Tarragona or Valencia; there is a bus to Valderrobres, but then you'll need a taxi or your own car to get around the region.

Before booking, check whether the accommodation includes bed linen and towels, because some country houses charge for them separately. Also check whether it allows pets, whether it has heating or a fireplace (important in winter) and whether the access is suitable for your vehicle, since some streets in the old town are narrow.
