If you want to pay less, April, May and October are the best months: the weather is still pleasant and prices drop considerably. To get there, the most practical way is to drive from Granada along the A-44 to the Lanjarón exit, or from the coast along the N-323. There are also buses from Granada, but the frequency is limited, so check timetables before planning your day. Once there, the village is easy to explore on foot, although to visit neighbouring villages such as Órgiva or Capileira you will need a car or to book an excursion.

Before booking, check whether the accommodation has its own parking, because in the centre the streets are narrow and parking on the street can be difficult. Also check whether the price includes breakfast, because in many hotels of this category it is not included and adding it separately makes the stay more expensive. And if you go in summer, look at whether there is a pool or access to swimming areas, because the river is fine for cooling off, but it is not always comfortable for all tastes. Finally, read the cancellation conditions: for holiday homes they are usually stricter than for hotels.
