The average rating of these accommodations is 3.7 stars, which indicates that most are functional and well rated, without great luxuries but with what is needed for a comfortable stay.

When choosing an area, the historic centre, especially around the Catedral and the Carrera del Darro, is ideal if you want to walk to the Alhambra and the Albaicín. That said, the streets are narrow and steep, and parking is difficult. If you prefer quiet and lower prices, the Realejo or the Zaidín offer larger houses with better value for money, although you will have to use the bus or the car to get around. In nearby villages, such as Padul or La Zubia, you will find country houses with gardens and views of Sierra Nevada, perfect if you are looking to disconnect, but you need your own vehicle.

The Casa de campo Padul is a good example of the rural options, with more land and privacy. Before booking, check whether the price includes cleaning, bed linen or heating, because in winter it is a common extra expense. It is also worth looking at the photos of the bathrooms and the kitchen, which are the rooms where the real houses differ most from the advertised ones.

Prices drop notably between November and February, except at Christmas and Easter, when demand soars. If you travel in spring or autumn, weekends tend to be more expensive than weekdays. To get there, the Granada airport is about 20 minutes from the centre, and from the bus or train station you have urban lines that bring you close to most neighbourhoods. Within the city, the most practical thing is to walk or use the bus, because the centre is largely pedestrianised and parking is expensive and difficult. If you rent a house on the outskirts, make sure it has a garage space or at least a nearby free parking area.
