Where is it picked up from?

AddressStreet, number, and city for pickup. The more precise, the fewer calls: the person picking it up goes straight to the entrance instead of circling around. The floor and door go below, in the instructions.

Mobile phoneA mobile phone that rings, with the country code if outside Spain. The carrier calls upon arriving at the entrance. An office landline won't work: it doesn't receive messages and there may be no one there at that time.

EmailWe'll notify you there when the first offer arrives and when the shipment is on its way. You'll also receive the payment receipt. Instructions (floor, door, schedule…)Floor, door, intercom, times when someone is there, whether to call ahead, or if the entrance is under construction. Anything that avoids a wasted trip.

Where is it going to?

AddressWhere it needs to be dropped off. If it's a business, also include the company name: in industrial estates, numbers aren't always visible.

Mobile phoneThe phone number of the delivery point. It is only for the carrier, who calls when they are downstairs; HotelsCasa does not use it. If you do not have it, put yours and be available: without a phone, the delivery falls apart at the last meter.

How big is it?Select based on the largest item you're shipping. Only carriers with a suitable vehicle see your shipment: a bicycle courier won't be shown moves, and you won't see anyone who can't handle it.

How many items?How many separate pieces need to be loaded and unloaded. Three small boxes aren't the same as one large one: it changes the time and therefore the price they'll ask.

CityThe city it departs from. This shows the shipment to carriers working in that area.

How much is what's inside worth?This is the figure that matters if something breaks or gets lost. It really matters on long hauls: the transporter's liability is calculated by WEIGHT, not by what the item cost, so an expensive, light device is covered for far less than it's worth. By declaring it, you can take out separate insurance.

Total weight, in kilosApproximate, but not just a rough guess: the transporter's liability is calculated PER KILO, and the weight is printed on the waybill. If you put it far too low, in the event of a loss you'll receive less than you're entitled to; far too high, and you'll get bids for larger, more expensive vehicles than necessary.

How is it packed?This is box 6 on the transport document and the first thing the loader looks at. A pallet is loaded with a pallet jack and four loose boxes are loaded by hand: it changes the time, the vehicle, and the price you'll be quoted.

Country of loadingTwo letters, like on licence plates: ES for Spain, PT for Portugal, FR for France, DE for Germany, IT for Italy, TR for Turkey. They go on the waybill and determine whether the haul is domestic or international, which are different documents.

Country of delivery

When is it picked up?When it can be picked up. Leave it empty if it doesn't matter and you want it as soon as possible: that way more people bid. How much time do we allow for offers?How long they have to send you prices. With six hours, you'll get fewer offers but sooner; with three days, you'll get more and they're usually cheaper. If you don't choose by the end of the period, the cheapest one is selected.

Before posting a long haul. The transporter will confirm in writing the day they'll come to collect, and that confirmation is saved with its timestamp. Allow some leeway: between posting, receiving offers, and choosing, one or two days usually go by.

Paperwork. If the haul exceeds €150, the law requires a waybill, and from 5 October 2026 it must be digital. We issue it with the details from this form: nothing else needs to be filled in.

How it works. Post your shipment and carriers will send you their price: you'll see how much each one asks, with what vehicle, their rating, and the deliveries they've completed. You choose. If you don't choose before the deadline, the cheapest offer is selected.

Nothing is charged when you post. When you choose, the amount is held on your card and only charged once the delivery is completed.

HotelsCasa is a marketplace. HotelsCasa is a transport exchange: it connects the person who places the order with the carrier and charges a commission for it. It does not transport, does not store, and is not responsible for the goods: the preservation of what is sent, losses, and undelivered deliveries are the responsibility of the person who places the order, who resolves them with the carrier; HotelsCasa does not accept claims for this. Contact details are opened when the person who places the order pays; the carrier gets paid when they mark the delivery and the claim period passes without complaint. With the payment made, the person who places the order sees the carrier's full information and can cancel the order before pickup; the cancellation is confirmed by the carrier and the amount is fully refunded.
