Holiday homes and villas in Llucmajor

If you are looking at houses in Llucmajor, the first thing you should know is that this municipality in the south of Mallorca combines coast, inland and quite a lot of tranquillity. Most holiday homes are concentrated in two clearly differentiated areas: the urban centre of Llucmajor and the coastal strip that runs from s’Arenal to Cala Pi. In the town, houses tend to be cheaper and are close to supermarkets, bars and services, but you will have to take the car to go to the beach. On the coast, on the other hand, you will find estates and houses with more land, a pool and sea views, ideal if you are looking for a getaway, although in exchange for depending on a vehicle for almost everything.

The differences between some houses and others are notable. Some are renovated country estates, with stone walls and large expanses of garden, such as Finca Buniferri or Serra Fuster - Casa Tolleric. Others are more modern homes, chalet-style, in quiet residential developments, such as Dosmadres7 or El Bosque. Before booking, take a good look at the description of the access: some are on dirt tracks and not all have marked private parking. It is also worth checking whether the price includes final cleaning, bed linen and towels, because in holiday homes this is not always included and can mean a significant extra cost.

As for prices, the range is wide: the cheapest is around 621 euros per night and the average is 822 euros. It is not a cheap destination, but if you want to adjust your budget, look for dates outside July and August. May, June and September are excellent months: the weather is good and prices drop notably. To get there, the most practical option is to fly to Palma de Mallorca and rent a car at the airport, which is about 20-25 minutes away by car. Public transport exists, but it is limited, especially in the coastal area, so do not count on getting around by bus if you are staying in an isolated house. Before confirming, also check the cancellation policy and whether the owner requires a deposit, because in private homes this is common.
