The excursion

Start with a 45–60 minute ride in a round bamboo basket boat through the Bay Mau water coconut forest: a local rower shows you the boat-spinning show and traditional net casting, and you can try crab fishing and paddling. Back at the village, an English-speaking local craftsman guides you through the eight steps of making your own silk Hoi An lantern, which folds flat to travel home in your luggage. No skills are needed; children from 3 years old can join. Minimum 2 people per booking.
