The excursion

A long but rewarding day across the border with an English- and Russian-speaking guide in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. After the Georgia-Armenia border you drive through northern Armenia to Dilijan, the Armenian Switzerland, known for its forests and fresh air. Next is Lake Sevan, one of the largest high-altitude lakes in the world, and Sevanavank Monastery on its peninsula with wide views over the water. In Yerevan you see the Mother Armenia Monument in Victory Park, walk the stairs and gardens of the Cascade, and have free time at Republic Square before the drive back to Tbilisi. A valid passport is required; check the visa rules for your nationality before booking. Price per person.
A full international day trip: green Dilijan, the blue Lake Sevan and Sevanavank Monastery, then Yerevan with the Mother Armenia Monument, the Cascade and Republic Square.
