As for areas, the beach in Oliva is the most in-demand place, especially the stretch between the port and the Muntanyeta Verda. There you have direct access to the sand, the promenade and restaurants, but also more noise in high season. If you prefer quiet, the old town and its surroundings offer guesthouses and some bed and breakfasts, with the advantage that you can walk to bars and shops, and the price is usually somewhat lower. The marjal area, to the south, is ideal if you are looking for nature and silence, although you will need a car for everything. Villas with a pool are concentrated in residential developments such as Les Deveses, a couple of kilometers from the beach, and they are the most expensive option but also the most private.

To get better prices, avoid July and August, and also Easter. May, June and September are the months with the best value for money: the weather is pleasant and accommodations drop quite a bit. Getting to Oliva is easy: by car from Valencia via the AP-7 (exit 60) or via the N-332, which is free but slower; by train, the nearest station is Gandía, about 15 minutes away by taxi or bus. Once there, the most practical thing is to get around by car, because the distances between the beach, the center and the residential developments are not comfortable on foot. Before booking, check whether the price includes bed linen and towels, because in many apartments they do not, and also whether there is air conditioning, which is not always included in the base price. Also check the cancellation policy and whether the accommodation has a parking space, because in summer parking near the beach is complicated.
