Discover the ancient ritual of Temazcal

Sitting around the heat in the dome of the temazcal, you will feel the vapor of volcanic stones and connect with the aroma of medicinal plants. Your body is detoxified through sweat and the spirit is renewed in the ritual. You will learn the power and importance of silence, but also of words and songs, and how to find harmony with others.

Temazcal is part of a healing ceremony and will be led by our shaman; you can purify the body, balance the spirit and achieve a state of harmony, calm and well-being.

In the ceremony you will connect with the center of the earth, balancing your energy.

Temazcal is believed to represent the womb and as you leave the steam bath, in a symbolic sense, you will feel reborn, rejuvenated and revitalized, healing from the inside out.

Once the ritual is over, a refreshing shower, fresh fruit, refreshing drinks and hammock rest around the pool will complete your day

Itinerary

Our experience begins with an explanation of the Mayan ritual “Zumpul-ché”, or as we know it today, temazcal. Pre-Hispanic tradition similar to steam bath or wet sauna.

Temazcal is a healing ceremony and is led by our shaman. In it we can purify the body, balance the mind and the spirit, obtaining a state of harmony, calm and well-being.

Temazcal is made with volcanic stones, heat and medicinal plants, which through infusions in the water poured on the hot stones, generate the steam necessary for the ritual. During the ceremony we will connect with the center of the Earth and rebalance our energy. It is believed that temazcal represents the belly and as they leave the bath, in a symbolic sense, they are reborn, rejuvenated and revitalized, healing from the inside out.
