Adeje concentrates the largest accommodation offering in the south of Tenerife, with 1908 options ranging from 88 euros per night to an average of 237. Most are apartments (1364), followed by villas (286), holiday homes (145), hotels (66), aparthotels (26), and resorts (4). The average category is around 3.2 stars, so don't expect widespread luxury: here, functionality and proximity to the coast are what matter.

To choose an area, first think about what you'll be doing. If you want beach and promenade, the Playa del Duque and Fañabé area is the most convenient: everything is within walking distance, there are restaurants and shops, and the atmosphere is quiet but lively. If you prefer something more authentic with less tourism, the historic center of Adeje, inland, gives you access to hiking trails and a more local atmosphere, although you'll need a car to get down to the coast. The Los Cristianos area, on the border with Arona, is practical if you come without a vehicle, because it has a bus station and frequent connections. Villas and holiday homes are mainly concentrated in developments like La Caleta or El Madroñal, ideal if you travel in a group or with children, but keep in mind they are often on slopes and far from services.

Prices drop noticeably outside high season: from May to June and September to October, you'll find rates up to 30% cheaper than in July, August, or Christmas. If your dates are flexible, also avoid Spanish long weekends and British school holidays, which drive up demand. To get there, the usual option is to fly into Tenerife Sur (TFS), about 20 minutes by car from Adeje. From the airport, you have buses (line 450 or 467) and taxis with fixed rates; if you rent a car, do it in advance, because in summer it sells out. To get around the area, a car is almost essential if you stay inland or in higher developments; on the coast, you can manage with the buses, which run every 15-20 minutes between Los Cristianos and Adeje.

Before booking, check three things: the exact location of the accommodation on the map (many listings say "Adeje" but are 15 minutes away by car), whether the price includes final cleaning and bed linen (in apartments and houses, it's usually extra), and the bed type: many offers have two single beds instead of a double. Also, check recent reviews about noise, as some complexes are on the TF-1 highway.
